再来一个菠蘿包! One of the hottest commodities in town is probably these Bolo Bun aka Pineapple Bun from @championflagship.

With an aesthetically pleasing interior, the cafe only offer these soft sweet bread with golden-brown cookie crust in three options - Classic ($4.50), Classic with Butter ($5) and Curry Potato ($6)

Made fresh upon orders, these buns are best consumed within 20 mins especially savoury Curry Potato. Add on the fragrant HK milk tea or coffee to complete your tea break.

P.S: to curb the huge demand (appx 1hr wait in all) they normally restrict to two buns per pax.

@dough.coffee is a new concept by @glyphsupplyco which focus on comfort bakes and hearty food, but you’ll be sure to get a good coffee here.

Be greeted by the “bakery” section, whereby you can pick up bakes such as Babka ($9), Smoked Duck Focaccia ($6), and Passionfruit Black Tea Cake ($8), to go with that speciality coffee after you’ve been allocated a seat. Or check out the main menu for something more substantial.

The latest addition will be @picklebakery within Everton Park, home to popular Nylon Coffee and Ji Xiang AKK. Walking into the quaint cafe, there’s a mouthwatering display of sourdough loaves and Viennoiseries to choose from.

Spoilt for choices, they recommend to go for the hearty Roasted Potato & Mushroom Tartine ($9). A chewy rustic toast topped with potato slices, mushrooms, bechamel and aged cheddar, it is sprinkled with herbs to enlivened the flavours. Definitely a great way to start the day!

Nope, these aren’t Matcha doughnuts~ After the successful launch of Milo Dinosaur Donuts, @burntends.bakery_sg introduced another local flavoured doughnut - PANDAN!

Stuffed with luscious fragrant Pandan cream, these brioche doughnuts are coated with coconut glazed and topped with desiccated coconut. But if you like a variety of flavours, go for their best-selling Mixed Stuffed Doughnuts ($24/6 pieces) which includes Nutella, Vanilla Cream and Passionfruit.

P.S: like Le Matin pastries, there was a crazy wait time to get these decadent doughnuts last year. Now you can easily get them the week.

Not exactly access since it is located near the Old Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. But with the opening of the test kitchen, we have another avenue to get these coveted pastries.

Their Kouign Amann ($7) is still my favourite but the Pistachio Escargot ($7) is equally amazing. A harmonious marriage of aromatic pistachio, cranberries and rose petals, the snail-shaped viennoiserie is a perfect addition to your morning coffee.

P.S: Bakes are available at three timings - from 8am, around 10am and 12pm.

Craving for a simple comfort HK-styled breakfast. More so since we are grounded in Singapore after the travel bubble burst.

With the @sogoodcctsg outlet near home, we can easily satisfy our cravings. Scrambled egg on toast, Luncheon meat & egg sandwich and dim sum spread to go along with Iced Yuen Yang (HK style milk tea with coffee). And since there’s @sogoodbakerysg next door, you can pick up their delicious egg tarts and pastries!

P.S: take note of the set timing. Breakfast (8am-11am), High tea (2:30pm-5:30pm) and Signature (11am-8pm) priced at $4 to $10.

Focusing mainly on healthy clean foods, the menu is made up of your typical brunch classics like salads, protein bowls, and toasts.

Slightly different from the norm, their Signature Avocado Toast ($18) is dressed with Vegemite and an option of sous vide egg or sautéed mushrooms. Adding-on Bratwurst Sausage ($6), it sure is one pricey Avo toast!

Drop by on a early Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised to see a steady stream of people. Located at the corner, they have lined up seats along the alley which is great for cooling mornings but maybe not the hot afternoons.

Settled for their Avocado Tartine and Flat White ($5). The open-faced sourdough toast piled with smashed avocado and tomatoes dosed in balsamic vinaigrette is one of the better Avo toast I had recently!

They have a selection of gluten-free and vegan friendly bakes such as Banana Walnut Tahini Bread and Dark Choco Brownies.

Known for their pastries especially those cruffins, @breadyard also offer wholesome and substantial menu like this gloriously rich Pulled Pork Benedict. A base of well-toasted Hokkaido Brioche, flavourful slow-cooked pulled pork accompanied by two jiggly poached eggs drench in hollandaise. It hits all the right notes

Their signature pitas (flown in from Tel Aviv, Israel), has 11 options available. Each brimming with sprightly flavour courtesy of the carefully-curated combination of ingredients and housemade sauces.

Here we had the:
• ERotisserie ($18), comprise of pulled roasted chicken with spring onion, chilli and baba ganoush.
• Chicken Liver ($18) filled with expertly-charred chicken livers, spring onions, onions schmear, tahini and green chilli dressing.
• Ratatouille ($17), everyone’s favourite. The meatless yet comforting pita is made of simmered roasted vegetables, crowned with tahini and green chilli dressing

Take a bite out of @fongshenghaosg Pork Egg & Cheese paired with their Signature Milk Tea ($3.90). Sandwich between the charcoal-grilled toast is the cheesy cheddar omelette and a thin slice of marinated pork loin. A perfect way to start the morning!
