In addition to the standard original frozen yogurt, @yolesingapore had also added a cheesecake flavoured fresh cream (non yogurt base) that’s available permanently on the menu. An additional $1 for the cheesecake flavour, which was more creamy, milky and luscious, without the tangy refreshing note as compared to the original frozen yogurt. Would have been great if the cheesecake flavour was more distinct; in other words, more cheesy as this tasted pretty much akin to a typical milk softserve instead. Nevertheless, the toppings are what keeps me coming back for more, especially the new mixed berries that provided a tangy, fruity note - refreshing and a great counterbalance to the luscious, creamy fresh cream. Also adore the candied almonds that reminded me of my favourite honey butter almond korean snack, adding a pleasant crunch to the fresh cream. As for the sauces, cookie sauce is forever my ultimate bias and the one I always stick to loyally 💛. The overall combination reminded me of a speculoos cheesecake in a more liquified form. If you are a chocoholic, opt for the black chocolate sauce (as featured here) which is bittersweet and hardens upon contact with the cold creamy treat , providing a pleasant crispness. .

A chocolate tart crust encasing hazelnut & mascarpone cheese filling topped with fluffy, cotton-like meringue dusted with cocoa powders, the taste was akin to a Ferraro rocher, chocolatey, nutty and decadent ✨. The chocolate tart crust is firm with an ideal crispness, coupled with a lingering subtle bittersweet cacao flavour. The hazelnut mascarpone cheese was thick and luscious, with a fragrant nutty flavour that could have been more distinct and less milky. The bits of chopped hazelnut and cacao nibs embedded within contributed to a pleasant crunch whereas the top layer of foam-like meringue added a pleasant tinge of sweetness which fortunately wasn’t saccharine as I have expected. The generous dusting of cocoa powder served as a counter balance to the sweetness, with a bittersweet cacao flavour . Overall a satisfying dessert for my sweet little tooth but the question is, where’s the salt? 🤔

[PS: Last day tomorrow(10 June) to lay your hands on these tarts that’s available at the Takashimaya pop up fair!] .

New flavours launched in replacement of the previous Earl Grey & Milk Way. Oolong softserve is served with feuillitine flakes whereas cereal comes with shortbread crumbles by default. Thanks @lunarcoffeebrewers for acceding to my request of having mix flavours - which also explains the mix of toppings as featured here! The softserve is soft, smooth and creamy with a melt-in-the mouth texture. The cereal milk had a malty flavour resembling that of horlicks which surprisingly overwhelmed the oolong, with a distinct albeit subtle characteristic earthy, woody notes. Would personally prefer if the oolong flavour was more intense and lingering! The addition of feuillitine flakes and shortbread crumbles added a pleasant crisp factor, with the latter having a lingering subtle saltiness that was a great counterbalance for the other sweeter elements. Unfortunately, the new flavours paled in comparison to the previous ones. IMO. Really missed the Earl Grey softserve (in fact, the best earl grey softserve imo to date) with its distinct and lingering aroma! Hope to see Earl Grey & Milky Way back in the menu soon! XD .

Launched 3 weeks ago, this double chocolate brownie is made using 2 kinds of chocolate: 65% Inaya Dark chocolate 41% Alunga Milk chocolate, topped with caramelised cooca nibs and served warm in a pot. The portion served is indeed huge, requiring at least 2 pax or more to indulge in, unless you have a huge fetish for chocolates. As I was dining alone, I must admit that I got really taken aback when it was served to me, as I was wondering how I would be able to manage it all on my own, despite having a sweet tooth. True enough, I was on the verge of giving up before half of it. Not that it wasn’t nice or so, the decadent and luscious chocolate cake was a pleasant indulgence and satisfaction to the palate only for the first few bites as it got rather overwhelming and saccharine after awhile. Fortunately the scoop of uji matcha ice cream which I had added on managed to alleviate the situation a little, with a subtle, fragrant earthy note. Made using matcha sourced from @matchayasg, the ice cream had a distinct earthy note but unfortunately lacking a lingering bitter undertone which I would have adored, as a hardcore matchaholic. The texture was great though; a smooth, creamy and melt-in-the mouth kind. On the other hand, the brownie came with a crisp surface layer with caramelised cocoa nibs that added a pleasant crunch factor. On the downside, the texture was a little dry and crumbly at some regions and it would have been better if it was more fudgy and moist instead .

With the ongoing 1-for-1 promotion (till end March), I managed to enjoy this 2 cups of delight at just $4.80! ✌🏻Promotion applies to the regular cup size only, with any flavour of your choice. Having tried their signature popcorn softserve back then when they were at Bugis junction, I decided to give these non popcorn flavours a try. Among the 2, I personally prefer the peanut butter pretzel which comes with pretzels (duh!) and peanut butter sauce. The aromatic nutty flavour with a subtle pleasant lingering saltiness served as a great counterbalance to the otherwise overwheming, luscious creamy milk softserve. The only downside was that it could be thicker and more viscous, as most of it sank to the bottom of the cup and hence not evenly spread out. The pretzels also provided a pleasant crunch factor and I wished there were more of it! On the other hand, the green tea mountain paled in comparison, with a barely distinguishable matcha flavour. The green tea sauce was milky, saccharine with a vague matcha flavour and so watery that they had sank to the bottom of the cup, hence not visible here. The green tea crumbles only served as a significant contributor to the texture, a pleasant crisp factor that had barely any matcha flavour as well. Overall, the milk softserve can be a tad overwhelming and heavy to the palate, hence do grab along some friends to share the indulgence with you unless you have a really sweet tooth like me! //

Shoutout to the awesome service at the Jcube outlet, where the staff was really apologetic about the initial presentation of a lopsided swirl and immediately made a new serving for me when she saw me taking photos of it. 🙆🏻‍♀️💖 #bestserviceever

Exclusively for the month of March, this Sakura berry mille crepe comes with a top layer of Sakura white chocolate ganache, layered with strawberry infused pastry cream within each paper thin-like crepe layer, topped with dehydrated strawberries. Was initially skeptical about this floral cake as I was afraid it would taste artificially sweet or just a normal fruity strawberry flavour, but my first bite of it proved me all wrong. The tangy berry flavour and fruity sweetness of strawberry is perfumed with a lingering floral aroma that makes this an enjoyable and pleasant delight ; one that wasn’t too overwhelming and I could easily polish this off all by myself for an afternoon tea snack. The delicate layers of mille crepe were painstakingly stacked and coated with substantial amount of smooth and light strawberry cream, whereas the top layer of Sakura white chocolate ganache enhanced the whole experience with its subtle pleasant floral fragrance. On a side note, one thing I m always curious about: are mille crepes meant to be eaten layer by layer, or just shove the whole stack into your mouth?🙊

The toast were crisp on the edges, with a soft and fluffy interior that could have been better if it was less buttery and salty. Perhaps it’s salted butter that was used that resulted in a lingering saltiness which I didn’t quite fancy. The Thai milk tea sauce was fortunately, enjoyable without being too sweet. On the other hand, the Thai milk tea ice cream had a subtle lingering aroma that’s a little icy in texture, and was surprisingly not too sweet as well! ✨ A hidden gem in the west estate that serves up pocket friendly shibuya toasts with great service rendered. Personally prefer the drink I had over this toast, which would be featured in my next post 😉 .

Adorned with a chocolate flavoured tart shell, the interior of chocolate cream cheese was smooth, creamy, luscious with a subtle lingering bittersweet cocoa flavour that was fortunately not too sweet nor milky which I was afraid of (and kind of expecting it to be). The tart shell was firm and crisp as well! 💕 Having tried both versions at room temperature and hot, I personally prefer the latter where the bittersweet profile of the chocolate was more distinct. .

✨💛 So glad this flavour won over orange (even though CNY is approaching 😅) since I wasn’t a fan of the latter and yuzu had always been my favourite citrus fruit! Served with yuzu reduction sauce drizzled atop, admist the creamy, milky softserve came a tangy, citrusy flavour that was distinct, lingering and a refreshing one to the palate. The yuzu reduction sauce added a pleasant tinge of subtle sweetness to the softserve as well, with a thick, purée-like texture. On a side note, certainly looking forward to the launch of a seasonal yuzu parfait which supposed to be launched today but due to some issues, was delayed😥. But that’s okay, as good thing are worth waiting for 😌.

Wear black and get 50 cents off the bamboo charcoal softserve that’s available at Isetan’s ongoing Miyazaki fair, till 25 January! Shown in frame is the small serving, with your choice of cup/cone. Texture wise, the bamboo charcoal softserve was soft, smooth and creamy with a melt-in-the mouth texture. Be sure to consume it fast as otherwise it might turn into a messy dripping pool (swipe to view 🙈). Enhanced with the addition of charcoal that’s present as tiny, grainy bits embedded within the smooth and creamy black softserve, the fragrant and slightly milky vanilla-alike flavour was a satisfaction to the palate, not too sweet that I could easily consume a large portion on my own. Did you know? Bamboo charcoal is said to reduce toxins and detoxify the body, hence a simple indulgence like this might turn out to be a blessing in disguise! 🖤 [PS: Many thanks to the friendly and kind staff for offering me the stand as a prop for my phototaking] .

A pretty new softserve joint that’s situated a stone’s throw away from its sister-alike @overrun.sg , with a greater offering in flavours and sizes! Had initially wanted to try the Nutella brownie cheesecake flavour but unfortunately, it was not available. Nevertheless, this top selling flavour Ondeh Ondeh left me with no regrets! ✨ A gula melaka softserve that comes with Pandan sauce, dessicated coconut and shredded coconut flakes, like a deconstructed ondeh ondeh- the Peranakan kueh that we are all familiar with. The softserve is smooth and slightly creamy but melts rather fast - pictures must be quick! 😉 Not too sweet regular cup was just nice for one simple indulgence 💖. The coconut flakes added a grainy, fibrous texture to the soft cold treat, enhanced with the fragrance of Pandan sauce. //
Was lucky enough to be the last customer when I went at around 6.30pm. Be prepared for long queue on weekends hence do come early to avoid disappointment 😅 .

This was actually my virgin try on @yolesingapore , with the descendent of @llaollaosg 👋. Apart from the original flavour, there’s a new weekly flavour at Yole and for this week, it’s Blueberry. Can’t decide on which flavour to get? You can opt for the twist (dual flavours) which was what I did for the best of both worlds! ✨ Coupled with my all time favourite luscious cookie sauce, strawberries and chocolate biscuits for the crunch, the froyo is smooth, creamy and tangy with a fruity sweetness of blueberries. The original didn’t really had much significant difference to its ancestor llaollao IMO. What really made a difference was the addition of new variety of crunches in Yole and sauces. (PS: the last day to try blueberry flavour would be on 21st jan, Sunday before the launch of another new weekly flavour.) .
