I was sooo looking forward to try this when I was at the Punggol Beach with my family. This definitely did not let me down at all. It was an average portion, but consists of a very generous amount of ingredients(prawns, sotong, egg, chye sim) I'm not very sure what "wok hei" is but there is definitely that in the very popular Sembawang White Beehoon. I felt stuffed after hogging a whole plate for myself(but after an hour, I was hungry again😂). It was very worth it for $6 considering the good portion and the generous ingredients. The service was really good too. The staff catered to our every need and were nice enough to turn on the fan for us as we were sitting outside. If you're not a fan of the extra service charges(I'm sure none of us are), you can also takeaway(which I've seen many people doing) and honestly speaking, it would have been super delicious plain, with no prawns, sotong or chye sim(it was that good 😋)
I ordered the large(480ml) Roasted pumpkin soup + Focaccia bread roll for $7.70. This is perfect for calorie conscious people(like me) as the dish is only 208calories{ 152calories for the Regular size(350ml) }. There are other low calorie soups too! The calorie values of each dish is listed right beside each item on the menu, which I am especially fond of👍 The soup was gooey(in a good way) and it tastes better with the almond bits on top. The bread roll was very fragrant and tasted amazing by itself but *a tip; dip the bread roll into the soup and eat it. Anyways, I would definitely come back and try other soups ;D
I read a blogpost written by DanielFoodDiary about this dish and he said it was only 502 calories?! Being a calorie conscious person, I decided to try it out. The dish costs $11.90 even though it is very pricey(it's from a restaurant what can we expect) but it was a really big plate with a very generous serving and filled with lots of ingredients like chicken, prawns, bean sprouts and many other vegetables. I wasn't exactly extremely full as I was super hungry when I ate it but a normal person would most probably be unable to finish the plate by themselves. All in all, it tasted great I would most definitely go back and eat it again :)
