Ice Cream

I scream for ice cream! đŸĻ

Last night at the Bazaar was insane! Perspired a lot, went through long queues, and most importantly tried lots of food 😍 Literally having a food coma right now oh man
â€ĸ
I had to queue for this, but I didn't give up despite the sweltering heat because this one's so highly raved! I chose the Oreo Macaroon Ice Cream ($5), which was cookies and cream ice cream sandwiched between two macaroon pieces, and then rolled around in oreos. I actually liked the macaroon, it wasn't overly sweet and had just the right crumbly texture. I expected it to be bigger though, and was a little disappointed when I saw that it was only the size of my palm ☚ī¸ But this was still a pretty decent dessert, I actually enjoyed it!

The Monkey King ($14) definitely went crazy with bananas! It consisted of banana cake chunks, walnuts, caramelised bananas, vanilla ice cream, all on top of a Belgian Waffle. I got a little "gelat" after a while because the toppings were really sweet, but I still found it tolerable.

HAPPY FRIDAY!! finally after mugging for two weeks, exams are finally over! i can finally eat more food now hehe 😁 craving waffles right now oh my. this was taken quite long ago btw! such a pretty presentation for these charcoal waffles ($4.70) + 2 scoops ($5.60) (matcha, brownie dunked in vanilla)! the waffles were crisp on the outside and light on the inside, but it didn't have much flavour and was pretty bland, so i recommend having a scoop of ice cream which is sweet like the Brownie Dunked in Vanilla, which was vanilla with bits of brownies in it, to make the dish less monotonous. such affordable waffles and ice cream!

also, i just posted this on my blog which i recently created so please do go check it out!! http://foodwithnic.wordpress.com (i just started so it may look pretty messy but i'll sort it out over the next few days!)

Coco Magic ($5.90). honestly too overpriced, it's basically just soft serve with crunchy coconut shavings. would prefer llaollao over this for the same price anyday

day well spent with my teammates 👍đŸŧ thanks for today guys! so, i had a waffle [$4] with two scoops [$6.40] which were Salted Caramel & Speculoos (my two favourite flavours! 😍).
the waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which was perfect, but somehow lacked the taste Sunday Folks has. however, both ice creams were so rich in their flavour, i fell in love instantly. they also had such a wide range of flavours i was spoiled for choice! definitely coming back here again!

super cute popsicles from the newly opened I SEE i SEE! i tried the Strawberry Hokkaido Milk ($6.90), which was more icy than milky. it tasted of real strawberries and it made me feel less guilty because it tasted healthy hehe 😁 but would i come back here for popsicles this pricy? i think i'd rather stick to making my own instead.

eating this Matcha Classic ($6) is definitely one of the best ways to beat the heat. consisting of honeyed cornflakes, rice balls, and azuki beans, when eaten together with the soft serve, it makes you want to eat some more because it's so good 😍 the combination of the soft serve and toppings went well; the honeyed cornflakes toned down the slight bitterness of matcha. i like the simple presentation as well!

i love eating ice cream when it's rainy 😍 we chose the popular Ferrero Rocher Toast [$12.90], and the Black Charcoal Waffle with White Truffle Ice Cream [$10.90], which is a new flavour that just came out yesterday!

the thick toast was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, where it was smothered with butter. yum! topping it off with the Ferrero Rocher ice cream which was rich and creamy, but melted quite fast. i also think that the ice cream was too little because i still had toast left after i finished the ice cream. still loved this creation though!

the White Truffle ice cream was something very unique and i would never forget it's taste. this was the first time i tried something like this! it's like eating vanilla ice cream with truffle oil in it. haha it sounds weird right? but truffle lovers would really love this flavour! the waffles were well crisped!

i loved the presentations of both! it took quite a while for them to arrive though. also, i think it would be better if the tables changed to something more elegant like a simple white table!

Situated under a HDB block, this place is convenient for the people living in the HDB block, but not so convenient for those who aren't. I chose Rocher (small) + cone ($3.50+$1). This place is just like your usual ice cream parlours, nothing really special, but a great place to get your ice cream fix. Loved the smoothness of the scoop, and the bits of ferrero inside. Such a pity this place doesn't have many patrons! Wouldn't make a trip all the way here just to eat the ice cream here though.

A classic photo featuring The Classic ($14.90). I chose the Cookie Butter soft serve, accompanied by the well-known fried mochi rice donut, with almonds & banana crisps sprinkled around the plate.

Since I absolutely adore Speculoos, I fell in love with the Cookie Butter soft serve immediately! The rice donut was crispy on the outside & chewy on the inside like a mochi! It made my mouth water when I sinked my teeth in. The almonds & banana crisps complemented the rice donut & soft serve very well! I wanted some more when I finished it sigh. Plus points for this dish being very photogenic too!

When I showed my mum a picture of the soft serve before coming here, the first thought that came to her was "it looks like poop". But somehow photogenic? This is the Green Tea Soft Serve ($6), complemented with Azuki beans, mochi balls, & honey cornflakes.

I loved how the soft serve wasn't too sweet. All the toppings went very well with the soft serve. There were honey cornflakes throughout the soft serve, which gave the soft serve a bit of sweetness, and it was also great to crunch on! When everything is in your mouth, your tastebuds will be enlightened. With so many flavours in your mouth, it will leave you satisfied guaranteed.

So I decided to give Honey Creme a second chance today, and I tried the Pandan Gula Melaka ($6). I must say it was actually alright! I liked the pipette filled with Gula Melaka; extra points for the presentation! Pandan flavoured soft serve was a little sweet, but could still taste the Pandan flavour. There were small cubes of Atap Chee in the soft serve, rice crisps at the bottom, and it was topped off with coconut bits & more Gula Melaka. All the condiments went well together! However, I think Honey Creme is quite overpriced, hence the disappearance of the long queues during the first few days of opening. $6 for this is a bit too expensive! Wouldn't come back here to eat this again, but maybe to try other flavours?
