Tucked in the tiny, quiet town of Ludwigsburg, this restaurant welcomed us with open arms - the kind restaurant manager literally sat down with us and explained the entire menu. This was a Swabian specialty - Multaschen, kind of a meat-stuffed ravioli. This was roasted in butter and served on a red wine-onion sauce. Unfortunately, i couldn't appreciate the overwhelming saltiness and rubbery meat stuffing.
Apparently Bill Clinton has been to this restaurant. A humble, homely outfit nestled in the heart of a picturesque neighbourhood, the service here was intimate and this earthy pate pudding with the tangy chutney to cut through the richness was such a treat in the fall.
Another great one.. So tender, soft and juicy, and not forgetting the crispy, buttery pork crackling layer!!
One of the best renditions this trip.. Gloriously straddling meati- and fattiness 😍 can't say i care much for the potato dumpling though - i'd describe it as a mass of starchy goo.
