One of the star dishes at Mrs Pho IMHO. Cooked in a Claypot with an extremely addictive Pork Lard, Garlic & Chili sauce.
Warm and delicious broth with tender sliced beef and brisket.
One of the better CKTs I've had in SG
Vietnamese cuisine from common dishes like Phö to fried quail
Affordable Taiwanese food, not stellar but still nice enough to eat.
This fried chicken from the Taiwanese food stall at SMU's food court is totally value for money and highly tasty!
Not too bad for something found in a department store food hall. Not too dry nor wet but could use more wok hei.
Could’ve been cooked over fire longer till more moisture in the rice was burnt away. Very mushy rice.
Saving grace was the chili which was fiery and warms one utterly.
Not too bad. Happy they added the onsen egg to mix with the noodles, otherwise it might've turned out to be dry.
Forgot the name of the stall! Was too hungry to remember 😅...
While the ingredients were plentiful and chunky for the small-sized serving, it lacked the wok hei and umami. I'm guessing the stock used to braise the noodles didn't have enough flavour.
Was wandering about City Square Mall looking for a dinner place, and decided on The Old Pontian Cafe as it wasn't crowded.
Ordered the Crispy Noodles and was pleasantly surprised as it didn't taste that bad as I thought it would, at such an affordable price too. Added $1 for a cup of chilled homemade barley too.
Exploring Joo Chiat Place and got hungry when I chanced upon this wanton mee place.
If u like wanton mee not overpowered by the taste of sauces then this is the place for you. Noodles were al dente but lacked the springy quality I usually like and lookout for. The ingredients like char siew and fried wanton are a tad on the sparse/small side too for large portion ordered.
The shrimp dumplings were alright but nothing that stood out to make it memorable.
