This place needs no introduction to sashimi lovers, as it’s known to serve the freshest raw fish you can find. Open from 7.30am till 1pm everyday except Sundays, be prepared to hunt for a parking space, but all the effort is guaranteed to be worth the trip. RM27 for an entire fillet of salmon? That's a steal you don't want to miss (soy sauce and wasabi is served upon request). Note that Top Catch Fisheries is not designed to be a sit-down restaurant, and only does takeaways. Swing by to pick up some salmon for you and your friends to enjoy at home together, this calls for a sashimi party!

This Japanese buffet is just the spot for fulfilling your dreams of having endless amounts of sashimi. The fish available are salmon, tuna, and butter fish, all served on ice. Burppler Wendy Chen dropped by for sashimi and salmon teriyaki, and says, “The picture may looked simple & not quite appealing but trust me, the food & the juice were worth every ringgit and man… I miss it now!” Come by with a group of friends when your sashimi cravings hit, the space can accommodate big groups, but be warned that parking is a challenge!

Raw fish has a good friend, and that's pearly sushi rice. Located in the quieter part of Subang Jaya, SS17, Kinpachi immerses you in a Japanese experience with its wood furniture and decor, and creates a gentle, conducive ambience for conversations. This is the place to treat yourselves to a lovely sashimi dinner, perhaps with your family or a small group of friends for a birthday celebration!

Located right next to the famous Levain Boulangerie Patisserie, Fukuya has often been overlooked, possibly due to its petite one-storey height amidst towering buildings. Just one step into the door, and you'll immediately feel the zen-ness from this Japanese-themed, well-lit space. The Sashimi Set (RM110) features an assortment of selected sashimi (air-flown from Japan twice a week), chawanmushi, miso soup, and freshly grated wasabi, and is well worth it. If do you do plan to head there for lunch, most of their lunch sets (RM43-80) already come with salmon, tuna and amberjack sashimi!

Nestled in Sri Hartamas since 2014, Uokatsu boasts a fantastic reputation for their Japanese cuisine. If you're a die-hard salmon or tuna sashimi lover, you may opt to feast on those classics, but for a memorable experience, do not miss out on their kanpachi, hamachi, or bonito sashimi (prices vary). You can even give them a call to check if your preferred choices of raw fish are available before visiting to avoid disappointment!

Yuzu Japanese Restaurant offers not only the freshest fish imported from Kyushu Island and Hokkaido, but also stunning presentations that will make you drool.
