Travel Stop: Graceful Gothenburg
Was initially looking to try some fried herring at Strommingsluckan only to realise it was closed. Jinx Food Truck was located in the same alley and serves up some amazeballs "Thaicos" and Pork Buns.
The Pork Buns (bottom) feature braised pork belly, a mix of spiced veggies like pickled cucumber and kimchi + a sauce base of hoisin and soy mayo, served in between soft steamed buns. The pork was juicy and tender and the sourness of the veggies mixed well with the saltiness of the sauces.
Just when I thought that my exp couldn't get better, the "Thaicos" hit the ball out of the park. I loved the combination of vegetables in this one - with bean sprouts, carrots, celery, spring onion, mint leaves and cilantro - which had a very refreshing taste. The mint leaves in particular gave the dish a great lift. Loved the minced pork which wasn't too fatty and how it combined nicely with the kimchi and soy mayo. What was great was that you could ask for more tortilla wraps (left), cause 2 would def not be enough to contains all your ingredients.
If you're looking to try Strommingsluckan, I would absolutely recommend trying Jinx Food Truck as well for a refreshing and tasty meal / snack.

Pronounced as "hor4 can", this sesame seed breakfast bagel contains Hummus, sour cream, falafel, fresh veggies. Really generous portion for the price; flavours were nice without being too overwhelming. Great place to start the day. And they play golden oldies here ^^

Lamb with cheese
German Bratwurst
Shrimp salad
Fried shallots
Mustard selection and horseradish
Mashed potato
Garlic bread
The list of ingredients, all of which provided strong, fierce flavours. On second thought, just having 1 sausage would be enough.
Located in Nordstan mall which is walking distance from the Central Station, get a great lunch fix at Gourmet Korv for good portions and good flavours.

"I love eating. But I hate getting fat. I love eating. But I only want to eat the best. I love eating. But I'm reluctant to spend too much." The above are a few paradoxes that describe my love-hate relationship with food. Yet at the same time they define my principles for choosing the places which I love to eat: 1) Hearty 2) Tasty 3) Worthy (of my money)
