First tried AJ Delights’ muffins from their og store in Alexandra Village Food Centre a long while back, and now they have a brand new store in Fusionopolis at one-north!
Got ourselves a promo box of 6 mixed flavours (I think they do this nearer to the end of the day & it’s pretty heavily discounted ✨) and just like we remember, they are done fluffy soft and moist! Some flavours are definitely a little more sweet than others, but go for their streusel muffin series for that extra crumble topping for more crunch. Highly recommend to dig into them after warming it up in the oven.
Something else different here at their new store is an additional offering of healthy fresh juices and smoothies.

We always look forward to Wu Pao Chun’s unique seasonal creations. For Mid-Autumn this year, you can opt for their specially handcrafted Salted Egg Pastries that comes in 2 flavours - White Lotus Sated Egg and Yam Salted Egg. They are mildly sweet and encased in a baked pastry skin. It’s $4.80 a piece, or $27 for a gift box of 6 that has an equal mix of both.
These are available at both Wu Pao Chun outlets in Capitol Singapore and Paragon.
Here’s an option for you if you’re not a fan of the usual baked mooncakes - Thye Moh Chan’s Teochew mung bean-based mooncakes that carry a lightly flaky pastry skin with different fillings.
2 brand new flavours joining their Mid-Autumn series this year are the Jasmine with Salted Egg Yolk and Pistachio flavours. These are alongside the signatures like Salty Tau Sar with Salted Egg Yolk, Yam with Salted Egg Yolk, Yuan Yang with Salted Egg Yolk & Sweet Tau Sar with Melon Seeds. I particularly enjoyed the savoury ones!
Available till 29 Sept at all Thye Moh Chan outlets, as well as selected BreadTalk and Toast Box outlets. 10% early bird promo on the sets till 14 Sept!
A look at the line-up of BreadTalk’s “Best Mum Ever” Mother’s Day collection, featuring dainty floral-themed cakes plus new breads and buns.

Only Yam is a fun yam chiffon cake dressed in piped carnation flowers, layered with yam paste, pudding, BreadTalk’s signature light cheesecake and Chantilly cream cheese - the cheese parts are not super strong, but the chiffon is very soft!
Everything’s available from now till 14 May 23 at all outlets island-wide and via the main delivery platforms + BreadTalk’s online store: breadtalk.com.sg. 15% off the Only Yam and Grateful Lychee whole cakes till 28 April!
Wu Pao Chun always seems to be ready to welcome Christmas, and it’s no different this year with the whole line-up of Christmas-themed bakes they’ve created. Just some of them are the Wreath of Joy ($3.20) - a soft brioche bun filled with a generous amount of chocolate, Chestnut Cane ($4.80) - a candy-cane shaped bread filled with chestnut paste, and Jingle Ginger ($3.20) - a wreath-shaped bread filled with ginger custard cream and dried diced ginger.
Their bakes are available at both their Capital Singapore and Paragon outlets till 25 Dec 2022.
What’s Christmas without the classic gingerbread men! Wu Pao Chun’s rendition is baked with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and honey.
The Joyous Garden Focaccia was a fun bake to dig in to, packaged in a slim reusable wooden box and topped with mushrooms, tomatoes and onions. It’s a savoury piece, and done soft within with a pretty good golden brown exterior. Definitely recommend to warm this up!
Wu Pao Chun’s award winning bread, the Lychee Rose Royale is something we always enjoy! It’s fragrant with a pleasant lingering sweetness. It’s also all decked in cute Christmas greetings now, alongside their whole line-up of Christmas bakes and treats.
It’s Sourdough September AND Baker & Cook’s 10th Birthday!

Join in the fun with their gorgeous Celebration Loaf (Pain au Levain) that you can customise with the name of your choice - how cute omg, it’s perfect for gifting too. You got to pre-order a week in advance for this, and it’s sooo good paired with both their own and Fix and Foggs’ spreads which they both carry in-store. Loved the soft and nicely chewy texture.
Haven’t tried Mdm Ling Bakery’s famed baos, but got to try their new Ma Lai Gao (Cantonese steamed cakes) recently. They were super convenient to prepare, you’ve just got to air fry or steam them right out of the freezer. Super fluffy soft and lightly sweetened! The brown sugar flavour is not very pronounced but the hints of it was lovely.
More order details can be found on @mdmlingbakery.
PSA! Bet everyone has heard of June Bakery’s Orh Nee Tarts, but they now have … ORH NEE CROISSANTS too!
Absolutely love how uncle and aunty are always innovating for fun new flavours + creations. These are $1.40 each and similar to the tarts, you get a generous amount of their smooth and mildly sweet orh nee filling. Can’t say that they have the best croissants, but at this price, I’m a huge fan. Definitely recommend heating them up to get the lightly crisped texture and a more pronounced buttery fragrance. I say this in every post on them - but please make sure you call to reserve early before heading down to avoid any disappointment!
What a huge scone! 😂 This is the Rosemary Cheddar Chives Scone from Puffs and Peaks - appreciate how each of these comes with a side of miso butter. Thought the inner texture was just a little cakey, but we enjoyed the flavour. Heat it up to get a nice outer crust!
