Preferred the tortellini bowl as it had more tender meat, but similarly, we weren’t a big fan of the slightly doughy taste the noodles added into the broth. Would have liked slightly firmer noodles to go along!

Thought it was a teeny bit plain to have this on its own, but the creamy pork bone broth was comforting. Although it was a little more diluted due the addition of noodles (compared to the same bowl of broth served with our dry noodles), it was still rich and easy to slurp down. The wanton skin was smooth and silky, while its vegetable pork filling was tender and well seasoned!

Fragrant egg fried rice with a slab of crispy tender pork chop! Generous bits of egg fried in with the rice and we liked that it wasn’t too oily.

An unassuming plain dish of noodles tossed in scallion oil, but was one of my family’s favourite of our meal at Paradise Dynasty! The scallion oil was fragrant and had just the right amount to coat the noodles evenly without being greasy. Noodles had a great bite. This came accompanied with a bowl of their pork bone broth - the same creamy and comforting broth used in their la mian soup dishes.

Tender chicken slices served chilled in chilli. It’s a little salty to have on its own, but worked well with the other carbs we ordered. Its chilli sauce had a thicker consistency and had a nice heat.

They make their chicken broth from scratch and we enjoyed that hint of floral touch from osmanthus flowers. The generously stuffed handmade tortellini was stuffed with tender minced chicken and a whole prawn.

Chef Joel’s Brandy White Fish Soup has that creaminess not because of added milk, but a result from hours of simmering. It was a comforting bowl with slices of fresh fish, cabbage and shimeiji mushroom. Due to its limited availability, it’s best to reserve a bowl before going down.

YUN NANS’ Truffle Rice Noodles in Prawn Broth isn’t on their original menus, as it is a new creation inspired by our prawn noodles and locals’ love for seafood! Our prawns were unfortunately a little dry, while the broth had subtle whiffs of truffle with a lighter seafood sweetness. I would have liked a richer version.

My favourite dish of the night! We were clearly confused when we heard that this pot of soup was prepared without a single drop of water. Yes what?!? 😂 It’s actually done by a special pressure-steaming technique where they pressure-steam the black feet chickens to get its essence. Although you can see a layer of oil, it wasn’t at all greasy and in fact, it was comforting and delicate.

There’s 2 ways to enjoy the chicken meat, one is directly out of the pot (we liked the natural sweetness and flavour), while the other is to have it tossed with beansprouts and a small jar of chili oil mix.
