We ordered half a bird and I like how flavourful and tender it was. Also non fatty but juicy. Believe it or not, I like this best today! Definitely ordering this again when I am back next. @veronicaphua thanks for recommending this too.

Adorned with castella cake crumbs, the bottom layer was creamy, rich and thick whereas the top layer was light, smooth with a melt-in-the mouth texture. A luscious, rich milky flavour that literally melted my heart 💖. Using the finest and quality ingredients, this delicate and velvety double fromage cheesecake are airflown from Hokkaido, saving me the trouble and expenses to fly to Japan! 💖 Personally prefer this flavour over the matcha one (surprisingly), with its more prominent milky flavour and fragrance. .

Checked out the new Lady M branch at Scotts Square to get my hands on the Rose Mille Crepe, an offering that is exclusive to the Scotts Square branch. I must say this is probably the most comfy Lady M branch around — absolutely plush and spacious with the use of cushioned seats and tall ceilings; it's very different from their Orchard Central and Westgate (and their first Marina Square outlet) and a pretty welcoming sight actually.

While the pastry cream is rose-infused, the cream between the layers are still pretty much similar to the original. That being said, the rose does pull through on the top, providing for that light hint of floral fragrance that perfumes the entire cake if eaten all the way downwards. The layers are tightly packed, which makes the Mille Crepe pretty neat to eat — would say I probably liked the original one better but this is actually quite worth trying for the novelty (or at least I did not regret trying this one out).

Drunkard Noodle Pork ($7.90)

So plain looking, yet so full of flavors. The minced pork and crunchy long beans is stir-fried with broad flat, springy rice noodles. Its spiciness did not hit immediately but lingered on the tongue before bursting into fiery thrills. #BurppleMajulahMakan

Food Republic @ Shaw House upped the food court game by having a designated corner of Japanese food stalls.

The first stall I tried was Omurice Factory as the food models at the stall front were just so enticing. Instead of the signature demiglas and the seductive curry, I chose to have white cream omurice ($8.90).

There are 3 toppings to choose from for additional of $3.90: pork cutlet, fried prawns and chicken cutlet. If you are interested, add melted cheese for just $1.90. Big eaters can include everything! 😄

This plate of Omurice was above my expectation for food court standard and its price. 👍 Reasons being, the portion was really huge, pork cutlet was thick albeit slightly dry and the omelette's doneness was on spot - it was still a little wet and wobbling.

But I was a little sad that there was no ketchup at the stall to let my draw a heart on my omurice. 😔 And usually omurice uses fried rice but Omurice Factory uses plain rice.

Beautifully medium rare, melts in your mouth beef tenderloin. Served with homemade gnocchi, mushrooms, compound cheese, natural jus with a side of herb butter.

Located on the top floor of Far East Plaza, New Station Snack Bar serves delicious Chinese home-style tze char at affordable prices. The price for rices and noodles are around $5 and side dishes are mostly below $20.

Their Salted Egg Pork Rib ($11.00/$17.00) is a must-try signature dish. I would also recommend their Claypot Beef Bee Tai Mak ($6.00), Sliced Fish San Lou Hor Fun ($5.80), Seafood Crispy Noodles ($4.80) and Salted Egg with Deep Fried Fish Skin ($9.00/$13.00).

This is a high tea for a change. Instead of the typical scones and assortment of cakes and sweets, this high tea set came with 12 peranakan favorites and a cup of tea or coffee.
🔸
My favourite here would be the mee siam that was so thick and flavorful. Other items in our high tea includes nasi ulam, ngor hiang, satay babi, haybee hiam toast, kueh pie tee, goreng pisang, kueh kosui, pineapple tart, durian paste with toast, love letters, pulu inti durian and pulu inti kelapa, but items may differ, you may even make a request for certain items. And a tip... Get the milk tea, it was soooo fragrant.

Fruce, derived from the words "fruits" and "fusion", is a colourful grab-and-go concept in the basement of Wisma Atria that serves delicious concoctions of desserts and juices combined. There are four categories of drinks (Coconuts, Fusion, Refresh and Top it Up) that are available in two sizes, medium or large. Go for the crowd favourite Avocado Coconut (from $4) — a creamy blend of avocado and smooth Thai coconut extract that comes with yummy coconut bits. For the more adventurous drinkers, try the Pumpkin Kuromitsu (from $3.80). Fresh pumpkin flesh is roasted, blended to a smooth paste before topping it with Kuromitsu foam made from Japanese brown sugar. It's bright orange hue may raise some eyebrows, but one sip and you'll be sold like us! Pro tip: The drinks are good on its own, but if you prefer having it less sweet, there's an option to do so.

This fully air-conditioned mookata restaurant on the eighth floor of Orchard Central is perfect for your next get-together session with friends you haven't met in a while! Prices start from $18.80 for lunch and $28.80 for dinner with free flow of drinks. Choose one of four soup bases — bonito, chicken, tom yum or salted egg yolk (more of a dip than a soup base), before loading up your plate with king crabs, bamboo clams and slipper lobsters. The unagi, beef cubes and scallops are great for grilling and dipping into their housemade sauces like the lip-smackingly good green seafood sauce. If it's your first time handling slipper lobsters, get the friendly Talay Kata staff to guide you in cracking open the shell, so you don't waste time trying to cook the meat with the shell still on (...like we did). The stellar spread of meats and seafood is more than sufficient to feed everyone; but if not, there's always the DIY Som Tum and shaved ice dessert stations to turn to! Pro tip: From Mondays to Thursdays, students and National Servicemen enjoy 15 percent off their bill when they flash their student or NS card!

Original Tiramisu ice cream - wonderfully layered (read --> mascarpone cheese, ice cream, crushed cookies, cocoa powder, coffee liquor, soft serve, cocoa powder again and finally topped with freshly grated chocolate shavings!) Very pretty but it started melting after just 2 pics :(

Striking in presentation, the Pork Chop and Scallop Paella is one of the signature dishes I got to try at the soft launch of the new "Pim Pam by FOC".
The very thin layer of chewy rice with little blobs of garlic mayo, contains a hint of sweetness from being cooked with poached onions and tomatoes. This differentiates it from the savoury, umami Squid Ink and Saffron paellas that FOC on Hongkong Street is famous for. I found the reasonably large scallops fresh and succulent but do note the little pieces of pork are on the bone, so be careful not to accidentally bite hard into them.

Address: Pim Pam by FOC
422 Orchard Road, #01-29

The restaurant faces the main junction of Orange Grove Road and Orchard Road. It's the one with the curved green-framed glass facade.
