Soupy Goodness - Japanese Ramen
I must admit I have a slight weakness for tan tan men... So when I saw this, I just had to order it! There are 6 levels of spiciness for the Tan Tan Men - I went for level 3 (not too wussy but not too ambitious either š) It packs a good spicy punch! Though my fellow diners deemed it a little too spicy for their liking. Good note of sesame in the broth, springy ramen though some may prefer their eggs with a more runny yolk - I'm not too fussed. I opted for the $18 value set - choice of ramen and a side. How do you resist a Cha Siew don!? I didn't.... The Cha Siew is a little more charred than what I was expecting but it provided a good change of taste to my palette from all the spiciness but the star was still the Tan Tan Men. Happy belly!
Santouka never disappoints when you need a ramen fix. I opted for the ramen & rice bowl set š. Flavourful miso broth with a slight spicy kick and springy ramen noodles; partnered with succulent char siu sitting atop rice - all for S$16.50++. For those days when you just want both ramen & rice š
