A pleasant surprise!!! Wanted some comfort food and ramen here was unexpectedly good. Soup was comforting and mellow, not "jelat" unlike most other ramens on the market. Really enjoyed the yellow noodle-like ramen, and the meat here was fatty enough to enjoy every bite. A happy meal before Kumar show :)
Definitely a keeper if i can get hold of the recipe. Meanwhile, i can just come back for more? 🤗

Think about huge piece of crab cake, topped with chilli crab sauce, sandwiched between buns made by in-house bakery. 👍🏻

Very nice! Love the taste love the spiciness from the chilli flakes. 😋😋
I was absolutely blown away by the deconstruction of this iconic brekkie item into a dessert. It came as a surprise that we did not get the usual bread and coconut jam spread, instead these ingredients of pandan, coconut, gula melaka and muscovado sablé were transformed into something magically. I can't crave enough about that pineapple sorbet that's so tangy yet refreshing.

Enjoy a cake and feel healthy at the same time! 👍😣
Chanced upon the opening day of the authentic shop specializing in tendon in Suntec. It only has a couple of items on the menu. The Kohaku tendon ($15) had chicken, 2 prawns, squid, premium crab stick, and Japanese veges. Very very good value and a lot better IMHO than Tendon Itsuki.
Once our friendly Japanese staff gave us the much-anticipated ‘ok’ sign, we promptly gathered around the hot grill plate armed with our cute mini-spatulas all ready to dig in. The best way to enjoy this sizzling mix monjayaki was obviously to eat directly off it!
The savory-sweet mixture of pork, squid and shrimp pressed down and spread thinly across the plate had it quickly crisping up on the bottom. Absolutely no regrets at all agreeing to the waitress’ suggestion to top up for cheese ($3) as that melty gooey goodness further enhanced the overall texture. Other top ups available include mochi, mentaiko and more.
Now, what’s the difference between Monjayaki and the more familiar Okonomiyaki? Monja uses more liquid ingredients and a softer batter while the Oko is drier, firmer and has a thicker stack of ingredients piled all together. The latter wins by appearance hands down but I was more impressed by the flavourful Monja here. Another one of my favourites was the Teppanyaki Squid ($15).
Seiwaa serves up authentic Japanese comfort food worth trying, though at a slightly hefty price tag (especially if you’re one who needs more carbs to be filled up).
Tip: Download the J Passport mobile app and get a complimentary Monjayaki with any Okonomiyaki purchased!
We have almost always come back to this store whenever we're at Taka and this time round we decided to try the #GrilledTuna. At first look, it looks like pork but the taste is amazing and I would recommend everyone to give it a try!
I'm so glad Monday is over and it's a short week! Woohoo!

Porchetta [porˈketta], also sometimes spelled porketta in American English, is a savoury, fatty, and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition. Sopra done it really well with generous spring onion and herbs.
An oldie but goodie, this traditional cannoli at Sopra has been around since its launch (two year back) but is just as good as ever. We pick up the flaky pastry, and take a bite as it gently crumbles in our hands – signs of a good cannoli.
Inside its crisp shell holds ricotta cream dotted with chocolate rice and candied orange that adds a hint of citrus and zest, it's fruitiness preventing the dessert from falling into dense territory.
It's elegance with a touch of fun.
