It's a small shop tucked at the corner of the road. It seems like there isn't a crowd when i reached at 12.40pm on a Friday. But, was told that the wait would be 35min long. The team seems busy, alittle frantic &disorganised when taking in my order. Only gave me a receipt upon my request. No queue number, nothing.

Got my order of 2 lobster rolls (1 maine style &another with mentaiko). They simply called out the items, checked my receipt &viola, mine. What if there's another person who had the same order as me? πŸ€”

The bread is pretty crusty and fluffy. Lobster meat was definitely a decent portion! A steal for the price, i would say! Lobster doesn't taste particularly sweet but for the price, no qualms. Ambience of dining there would be a 0 out of 5 stars. If you dont mind that, this hearty seafood bread is super value for money. Maybe, it'll be a good idea to dabao it back to office &savour it in a more comfortable environment.

I had the original and lobster chunks are coated in a homemade lemon butter sauce, mayonnaise, and their secret herbs and spices concoction. #lobsterroll #lunchincbd #burpple

Valentino serves one of the best pastas . Creamy tomato based pasta cooked to perfection with generous chunks of lobster meat. πŸ˜‰ Go on wed during lobster night to enjoy massive discounts

Finally had the opportunity to try this much raved about crab bee hoon. Was a bit apprehensive given so many negative reviews about the queue and the price, we went at 9pm so luckily was seated straight away and only waited 20 mins for the dish to arrive (there was only one other table in front of us). It was so fragrant you can smell the strong seafood and wok hei before even taking a bite. The noodles were wonderfully cooked, not too soft with a good bite to it and the flavour was fantastic! Aromatic and infused with crab essence, with distinct mushroom and sweet capsicum flavour. Finally there is a good dose of smoky wok hei and fried garlic. Super yum but after a few plates it feels just that little bit heavy on the palate. Our crab was slightly underdone, we had to send the legs back to be zapped in the microwave because the crab roe was a bit runny. We ordered one crab bee hoon to share between 3 of us ($84 per crab, fixed price not by weight). Overall verdict 7.5/10, the price is the pain point considering the location and dingy set up, compared to other decent seafood zi char places. Glad I tried it once but it's difficult to get to without a car and probably won't return.

Fans of Waa Cow! at NUS can now get their fix in the CBD. True to its name, beef is the focus at this Raffles Xchange establishment. Waa Cow! serves an excellent wagyu beef rice bowl, so over here, you won't go wrong with the Signature Aburi Wagyu Beef Donburi ($21.90) β€” add $2 if you want the beef topped with mentaiko (!) or $5 with shaved truffle (!!). We also recommend ordering the Petite Wagyu Sushi Platter ($16.90), which comes with four different wagyu sushi β€” the classic, yuzu kosho, mentaiko and truffle parmesan. The latter is super earthy and aromatic from both truffle and cheese. Beefy business aside, you might also consider the Yuzukosho Iberico Butadon ($16.90), a really satisfying pork bowl, or the Mentaiko Salmon ($18.90), which features a really generous piece of fish over rice β€” perfect if you're really hungry! Pro tip: For a limited time only, like them on Facebook and Instagram to get 15 percent off your total bill.

You read that right β€” this casual joint in Chinatown dishes out sharing plates, rice bowls and sandwiches that are priced at either $5 or $10. The food is very good (we hear the kitchen is helmed by former sous chef of Salted & Hung) and there are communal tables to accommodate large groups, making this two-week-old spot a popular one with those working nearby. At lunch, start with the addictively tasty Fried Smashed Potatoes ($5) and the Fried Chicken ($5) served with a squeeze of house made nori mayonnaise on the side. The menu reminds us of a playful take on Taiwanese street snacks. Sink your teeth into the crowd favourite Steak Sandwich ($10), where a nicely grilled steak is sliced into bite-sized pieces, topped with a generous portion of caramelised onions and slathered with bearnaise. All this is sandwiched between two slices of toasted bread that provide just the right ratio of meat to bread. For something heartier, go for the Lu Rou Fan ($10), a rice bowl topped with thick chunks of what we deem as the most tender braised pork belly, a sous vide egg and kai lan. Pro tip: Swing by at dinner with your colleagues and kick back with half a pint of beer, all priced at $5!

🍴Tender & tasty quail meat ⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️.
⚠️ Voted one of the world's best restaurant, a 1-2 month advance booking is required.

Almond milk, mustard seeds and egg yolk. Knew i had to order this.. And the trout was prepared sous vide to PERFECTION. It retained a slight translucence, straddling the line between raw and cooked wonderfully. The texture is everything.. Just as long as you manage to find the grain.

Lolla is the place we point our friends to for good food β€” which is why we think every couple should make a pilgrimage here at least once in their relationship. Expect hearty and downright delicious small plates that are great for sharing with your beau. Apart from some of the best-selling dinner items like the Sourdough ($4) with Kombu Butter ($7) that are also available at brunch, there are a few new additions like the Stuffed Squid ($26) and the Crab Lasagna ($29) that you must order. The latter is packed full of luscious crabmeat and paired with a delectable bechamel sauce, a dish Burpple Tastemaker Michelle Kayla Tey says is "bound to leave you sighing with contentment". If the wallet is willing, order the Doughnuts with Lemon Curd ($12) or the Steamed Dark Chocolate Pudding ($15) for a luxurious ending.

This is a high tea for a change. Instead of the typical scones and assortment of cakes and sweets, this high tea set came with 12 peranakan favorites and a cup of tea or coffee.
πŸ”Έ
My favourite here would be the mee siam that was so thick and flavorful. Other items in our high tea includes nasi ulam, ngor hiang, satay babi, haybee hiam toast, kueh pie tee, goreng pisang, kueh kosui, pineapple tart, durian paste with toast, love letters, pulu inti durian and pulu inti kelapa, but items may differ, you may even make a request for certain items. And a tip... Get the milk tea, it was soooo fragrant.

Three kind of meat platters to choose from that's best share among 3-5 friends. Just take your pick and get either The Carnivore ($98.90), Ocean Feast ($119.90) or Morgan's Rib Sampl3r ($122.90)

The latter is the meatiest of all, as you get not one but THREE half slabs of Sticky Bones 😱Served with grilled sausages, grilled corn, french fries, garden salad & homemade corn bread. These tender spare pork ribs come in 4 flavours: classic Hickory BBQ, Smoked Peppercorn, Garlic BBQ or Spicy Asian BBQ. You'll never go wrong with Hickory but Garlic was a close second for me with tangy and spicy combi.
