Coffee In The City

Aesthetically pleasing space with nice coffee and airy ambience. Great for takeaways given the proximity to shops, museums and open spaces, but when it is not crowded it is a great hangout space too!

The Gula Melaka Cake with Cashew Crumble is a rich butter cake infused with gula melaka, coconut milk and rum, then topped with cashew nuts.

The dessert is also served with a creamy scoop of ice cream, which you can drizzle espresso over.

Some may find paying that much for Iced Kopi ($7) not that worthwhile, and may choose an ‘upgrade’ with its Kopi Shake ($9) which is more foamy, served in a cocktail, and has rich-chocolaty aftertaste.

Much as I love the portion of this avo toast, didn't quite like the choice of spread used here.
Could sour cream or cheese spread be better?
Personal preference 😬

A classic done very well 🍻

This orange chiffon sponge cake was soaked in orange whiskey, covered with chocolate ganache, with dripping sticky caramel sauce at the side of the cake, lastly sprinkled with orange salt. It's not overly sweet and moist with a hint of whiskey that follows on the heels of the chocolate flavour. Would you like to have a slice too to start your day? 😁😁😁

A dish I had in Melbourne and so glad they serve it here in Singapore. Ricotta Hotcake with fresh berries and vanilla ice - cream.

A warm pay-as-you-wish Banana muffin together with an Iced White! The banana muffin leaves you feeling comfortable & have a sense of home! Paired with my all-time fav Iced White, you cannot complain!

Love the tranquility and quirkiness of this cafe - cosy and relaxed. The lace curtains add a touch of romance, especially lovely against the setting sun. A shame the food wasn't forgettable - truffle fries were bleh and way too greasy.

Plus 4 more in the fridge beside it!
