Rich creamy cheese with the dusty goodness of slightly bitter green tea.
What I loved was the crust that was peppered with black sesame that gave it that nutty oomph!
The matcha latte was creamy yet light on the palate. Definitely worth a sip under any Sakura trees.
Monster misses Japan so much 😞. #hungryhungrymonster #kkisweets
Just a short walk from one-north MRT lies this massive food hall opened by the folks behind Timbre. The open-air structure is formed by vibrantly painted shipping containers, and houses 35 food concepts. At lunch, new-gen hawker stalls Fishball Story and Wong Kee Wanton Mee are well worth the queue (note: all 21 hawker stalls open only till 6pm). Live music plays from Wednesday to Saturday nights, making this an excellent spot for a cold beer after work. Pair your pint with Kush's Curry Chicken Rice Bowl ($10.80, ask for more gravy), yakitori from Teppei Daidokoro, or Iskina Cebu's irresistible Spicy BellyChon ($20/500g)! Pro tip: find a seat near the edges of the hall, it gets warm.

Have a full-filling, yummy merry Christmas guys! 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻
Picture this: A giant platter of curried Italian arborio rice, topped with six chargrilled king prawns. The rice is creamy, the spices add amazing warmth and the prawns are juicy. It's no wonder this CBD cafe's Curry Prawn Risotto ($23) is a long-time favourite. The giant portion feeds two, and the icing on the cake? Prices are nett. This is definitely worth battling the dreaded post-lunch slump for.
There are sandwiches, and then there are Park Bench Deli's sandwiches — generously filled, cleverly put together and packed with punchy flavours. The menu of Lunch Sandwiches (from $15) is concise — whatever you choose is going to be good. Get the Cheese Steak ($16) if you like your lunch very beefy and cheesy. Bring a colleague to share it with, just so you can get the cornflakes-crusted PB & J ($8), a version of the classic peanut butter and jelly combo done very, very right.
Hehe! Me is 懶洋洋 like gudetama 😫.
Pictured is the 上海生煎包 that is supposed to be their signature dish: soft dumpling/bao-like skin with a pan-fried crispy bottom encasing a ball of juicy pork meat, think 小笼包's bigger brother. Ever since 萝春阁(Luó Chūn Gē) at Tampines 1 closed a few years ago, I've been on the search for a similar 生煎包. Now, that search has finally come to an end 😌
Firstly, let me apologize for this horribly shoddy photo which I actually had no intention of posting but I had to after my first bite. Heard all about the good things for this limited-time offer and had to try it for myself. The chicken is all pretty much familiar; the same story repeated ever since you had tried KFC's spicy with that crusted batter, but now showered with Parmesan for some extra cheesiness though the main point about all that fuss is is the truffle flavoured cheese dip. This literally puts some truffle fries to shame, especially since it comes from a fast food joint that is so commercialized; the moment you lift the lid and that truffle aroma instantly releases. Dip that chicken in, and you get that familiar cheesy flavour from the cheese fries accompanied with a reasonable amount of truffle flavour that is detectable without being too intimidating. The cheese covers the taste of truffle with every single morsel dipped; instead, dip each alternate piece of chicken so as to get that whiff of truffle aroma you need every time. Comes with a drink and whipped potato (which I swopped for a coleslaw) as a meal. Now, if only they could make this sauce a permanent feature with their popular cheese fries; that's a winning recipe!
