Oily soup, don't mind la πŸ˜… It was a good dish to slurp on on this rainy day. The Lotus Roots Soup ($5) reminds me of a subtler version of a homecooked meal making me like it a lot. I was kind of hesitant to try it at first (trypophobia attack LOL), but was satisfied with this affordable meal. The peanuts were quite overcooked, but the pork ribs were so tender. Deffo a rainy treat for me :)

A generous serving for only RM9.50. This Butter Cream Chicken got the spicy vibe and creaminess in it. I know I am not a spicy food lover girl, but this one's bearable! πŸ˜…

Place could easily be seen if you frequent Sek14 and DigiMall. It was a bit crowded earlier but service was surprisingly fast. :)

Toast & Roast's char siew is one of the best I have tasted here in Malaysia. I like how fatty and juicy it is. It is very soft and it feels like melting in your mouth haha 😁 We usually order half char siew and half roast pork for RM33 - good for 4 la! The roast pork is okay, nothing too special. I would definitely munch on the char siew first when the plate is served πŸ˜› I've heard their Hakka Mee's (RM7) famous too so you could give that a try :)

Lunches here are quite busy so be prepared to line up for a parking space and a table.

This claypot store's smell is very inviting, we just had to try it.

We all ordered their Signature Village Claypot Rice (RM17.90). It has roast pork, pork bbq, chinese sausage and waxed liver sausage toppings which balance the soy saucy taste of the rice. We thought the taste would be bland as the rice on top doesn't have much "color"; mixing it fixed this πŸ˜„ I finished everything but it would be nice to have something on the side as the taste could be a bit tiring eventually. Still good and probably might just take their roast pork claypot rice next time (I liked roast pork the best among the toppings).

Don't forget to savour the bottom of the claypot as the main taste is there on the crispy rice :p

They have organic beverages too that have some medical benefits that you could give a try (we didn't). :)
