The chop definitely didn’t have crispy skin, which was a huge disappointment to me. Hokkien Mee was good as always.

What a good deal this was! The chicken leg was really big and tender. I was always afraid big pcs of chicken like this would be uncooked in the centre but this was fully cooked thru. And juicy! I could taste the tangy sour Tom Yam flavor. The skin got most of it, making it quite spicy. Extremely delicious. Rice was beautifully Lemak, good enough that I wished for more. Chili was good too. I couldn’t find a thing I didn’t enjoy on this plate. Even the ikan bilis was crazy crispy!

Came with sotong, prawns and oysters, but I omitted the oysters. Looked really different from the pic in menu, more like chili crab sauce. Didn’t taste like the usual XO sauce that I’m used to. This chili was more over powering than the chili sauce of the Hokkien Chicken, and covered the umaminess of the stock. Lots of eggs here too.

Was drawn to the fried chicken, and delighted that it was thigh meat thou I made no special request. Chicken tasted fresh and crunchy. The hokkien Mee had no prawns but the stock was so umami that I didn’t mind. I licked up every drop and used the chicken to scoop up the rest that I missed. Lots of eggs too. The price was amazing for this quality.

This also didn’t look impressive but it tasted better than it looked. The sauce was thick and seasoned just right. The egg was a little undercooked for my taste but after mixing it in, it was ok. Bacon was super crispy. It was good but not fabulous.

This was $7 and didn’t look impressive. But my first bite was superb. Thot the red sauce looked tomatoey but it packed a punch and got me coughing. Don’t underestimate it. It was pretty spicy. They were very generous with the cheese and sambal sauce, which made me very happy. Every single pc of fry got coated and still got leftover sauce. I would definitely order this again.

The star of this dish was definitely the sauce. It was spicy, tangy and garlicky. ❤️ the chopped up garlic inside. I used it on the beef and the rice. So good. Beef was well done, just as I requested. The fats on the meat made it juicy and succulent. Fried rice was good too. Got wok hei and not too oily. My current fav.

I enjoyed this most of all. The sauce was rich and creamy and the chicken was tender. Well seasoned too. The chicken was cubed, so it provided more bite than the pulled pork and spicy beef. 3 baos in a box was $10.90. They looked small but quite filling.

This was nicer than the beef, mostly bcos the flavor was stronger. Pork was tender and had a more Chinese taste to it. The pickled radish and carrots provided a different texture, making this bao more interesting. I was a little disappointed with the amt of meat in both the pork and beef baos.

This was difficult to eat, cos the beef clumped together, making it hard to bite off properly. Beef had a nice chewy texture but the marinate sauce was not strong enough for me. The gochujang sauce was also not spicy enough. Buns were lovely thou. Soft and fluffy with a slight sweetness.

A very aromatic hot cup of strong black coffee. Not acidic.

Since it was called Hummingbird, I imagined it must be as sweet as nectar. Indeed it was, thou in a strange way, not unpleasantly. Eating the entire slice might cause me to bounce off the ceiling due to a sugar high. I had hoped for more nuts thou.
