Seafood White Beehoon from 旺盛海鲜白米粉 (#01-06) is available at $6, $10 or $15. We had the $10 portion to share between two of us and there were 4 prawns, clams, white cabbages and pork lard. Loved the abundance of sweet seafood broth and that attracted passerbys constantly asking us which stall we bought this from!
This was served with chilli padi but I wished there's the tangy sambal style chilli instead — that would be perfect!

I was randomly searching for a place for dinner on my phone when I came across this Burp Kitchen & Bar. Located under a block of HDB flats that faces the Bedok Reservoir, the restaurant view is generally soothing regardless day or night.

The Hog is one of their burgers in the restaurant that contains pork. Consisting of a pork patty with bacon, berry jam and cheese, it does give me a sense of fullness after swallowing it down with the serving of potato chips.

If I can be picky, I find that the bacon tends to be on the salty side. Fortunately the berry jam deflects the saltiness a little, at the same time giving the burger a more balanced taste.

S$14.00 for this? Sure thing!

Went for some healthy option after having so many CNY foods in the past few days. Ordered one of their best seller burger which comes with avocado pate, beetroot, crispy GMO-free plant-protein patty, fresh lettuce, Aussie onion, creole tomato, and artisan bun. Definitely the best choice if you like to have some avocado in your meal. $9.90, add $3.90 for choice of fries or broccoli and a drink.

I love how they used smoked bacon when preparing this dish. Mix every up together and scoop this on that to-die-for sourdough to start your day right. Pair this with a cup of latte with beans from jimmy monkey roasters 🔥🔥🔥

Inspired by the local breakfast sets at “kopitiams”, Firebake has just introduced their own take on it.
Surprisingly good value at $4.50++, it comprises of two half-boiled eggs, housebaked milk bread (the soft mini loaf is made with sourdough, milk, flour and salt), Belgian butter and either a cup of “kopi” or “teh”. For seasoning the eggs, they provide “tau eu” (black soya sauce), salt and pepper.
I highly recommend topping up a dollar for the kaya which is handmade in small batches for Firebake by an aunty friend of Chef-owner “Tino” Blokbergen and his wife. The time that lady spends hand-stirring to get white sugar to this level of golden caramelisation is not to be sniffed at. So when you think about it, the $1 is nothing really.
Apart from this Breakfast Set served between 8.30am and 11am daily, they also have freshly baked items for purchase as well.

Apparently a must try so we ordered this. The Wave and the Field was our favorites! The Valley was way too sour for our liking. Would be great if they had homemade butter as well though. $10 for these variety of breads.

What we ordered:-
Avocado toast ($6.90), smoke salmon croissant-wich ($9.90, shroom truffle toast with onsen egg($12.90). [couldnt rmb the toast on the top right corner, but it was good]
I love the shroom truffle toast!
Not a coffee person but my colleagues who tried it, said it was really good.

Part of Gastrosmiths’ new menu, this plate of juicy beef is well worth the ten bucks! Crusty sear on the outside and moist on the inside, it’s well complemented by the savory sauce that’s made from collagen and the roasting juices of the beef. 👅💦💦💦

You can expect Crispy Roasted Chicken, Crispy Pork Belly, Char Siew and accompanying rice and springy noodle dishes.
There is a wide spread of items, along with steamed chicken, dim sum and congee, prepared from well-kept Cantonese recipes.

I thought that the Char Siew was quite legit, lusciously marinated in a sweet honey sauce.
While the meat-cut was more to the lean side, the pieces were still wonderfully tender.

Could taste both flavours and it goes well with the freshly made cone. They also have other unique botanical flavours such as White Chrysanthemum, Strawberry Basil and more. Can’t wait to go back for more!
