Cross Straits offers one of the most delicious and yet delightful sliced fish bee soup you can have in town. The taste of it is pretty as close as what you can get from blanco! If you're thinking of going for something healthy today. Head down to Far East Plaza level 5 to have some of this! (Oh wait, they were previously from Cuppage Plaza!) 😄
As a kid in the 90s, Far East Plaza was our place to shop for cheap garb ( before we had money to fly to bkk for shopping trips). Being poor students, we had to scrimp to buy hip clothes and accessories. So when we are hungry, we just head upstairs to 4th floor & 5th floor for cheap orchard road food galore. This fried mee tai mak is the lower GI option of char kway teow. It taste almost exactly the same, but instead of hum, you get tasty shiitake mushrooms instead. This is still as delicious many years down. 😋 #hawkerpedia
Here is a fine example of "cheap and good". Filled with spinach, egg, cheese and sliced tomatoes, the quiche tasted especially yummy after being warmed up. And although the crust was a bit soft, I still liked it for the buttery fragrance.
Couldn't decide what to eat for lunch, and saw a few people digging into plates of overflowing ingredients and curry, and I looked for a curry rice stall and found Yu Guo! One-man show with friendly service and delicious cooked food! // Pork cutlet was really good and crispy // Loved the overflowing tao-gay // all for $4+ plus!
