Hawker
The braised pork rice alone is worth a trip here. The Taiwanese sausage and the herbal pork ribs soup complimented it very well.
Really poor version of black carrot cake. Dry, with many prices burnt. Will avoid this place in the future.
Always a long, snaking queue in the mornings. The prata is however worth the wait: crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Worth traveling cross island for!
Specially woke up early on Sunday and dragged my partner out of bed to try this famous bak chor mee. The last time I was there, I queued for 20 mins before I gave up as lunch time is just too short. When we reached (about 10.30am), there was already a queue though shorter and after 15 mins, we got our noodles. I ordered the $6 while she had the $5. The qq noodles were accompanied by meatballs, pork liver, minced meat, wantons, tender pork slices and a piece of fried fish. One of the more worth it bak chor mee around :)
Man, these Burpple Tastemakers... I LOVE THEM 😂
This beautiful mess right after a tasting. Doesn't get any better than this.
Rice, assorted fried bits and whatnots and soft boiled cabbage all slathered in that signature combination of curry, liu zhi and chili sauce. And best of all, the great company!
Good suppers are made of these. Just sayin'
