Ramen
The charsu was so flavourful and tender, with almost a melt-in-your mouth texture. The broft was robust and rich; the noodles were springy, and there was a generous portion of black fungus too! Only qualm is that a layer of fat started to develop atop the soup after 3 minutes😂 There's also free-flow hard boiled eggs and a complimentary bowl of rice for every bowl of ramen ordered! A free plate of gyoza is also available for redemption if you go to their website.
7 wonders ($7.80)
Decent bowl of ramen at an affordable price! The 7 wonders came with 7 ingredients: the shrimp was juicy and large, minced chicken, corn, black fungus, bamboo shoots, half an onsen egg and their homemade green chilli. I didn't enjoy the chilli so I left it out(supposed to mix in the soup). Onsen egg was great-the yolk was half-cooked and you can taste the soya. The chicken-pork broth was flavourful, and ramen noodles were 'qq' aka springy. Their menu also has smoked duck, beef, pork belly ramen as well.
Yayy crab broth ramen😄 Not too bad, I like the broth-but the charsu tasted weird. Also, crappy service-the waiter didn't allow for us to sit together as a group as my 2 other friends came late, even though it was already 2ish and there were empty tables.
Really delicious bowl of Hakata Ramen! The noodles were springy and thin, the charsiu had just the right amount of fat without it being too overwhelming, and the egg was just simply put, to die for-a whole egg given with the oozy cold yolk centre; for $12.90, this is quite a steal! Not to mention I got 10% off as I flashed my student card😆 The pork broth was so good I slurped it all up and left the bowl clean!
