Awesome cake slices by inthebrickyard now available at 11 Hamilton. While we narrowly missed out on the famed ondeh ondeh, we ordered the black velvet speculoos for dine-in, orh nee and vegan chocolate cake slices for takeaway. My favourite has to be black velvet for moist chocolate cake with the crunchy layer of cookie butter speculoos.
Cruffins-the crossover pastry between crossaints and muffins have been trending in singapore for quite an amount of time. Have heard of this popular bakery at empress market for a while. We sure won't disappointed when we tried them. Pictured are the peanut butter and jelly, lemon, pandan kaya. My favourite is the kaya, with gula melaka kaya lava core that was so addictive for me. The coconut jam goes so well with the flaky cruffin crust.
A must-order for a first- time visit at Gram is its 3-stacked “Premium Pancakes”, each 4 cm thick, served together with maple syrup, a dome of butter and a slab of milky whipped cream.
They cost me $17.90, which was okay since my tummy was filled and it was my meal. One thing to note is that they are available at only 3 time slots each day. So take note of the timings that they will be served.
Chocoholics will love OCD for the extensive range of chocolate gelatos: Madagascar 33% Milk, Ecuador 40% Milk, Belgium Dark 60%, Brazil 72% Dark, Africa 85% Dark.
Pictured the sesame waffle with a scoop of africa 85% dark. The africa dark has a consistent creamy texture and is not overly sweet. Goes well with the sesame waffle that has a crispy toasted exterior and soft airy sesame insides.
I had the trdelnik in prague and I really enjoyed the crusty texture and the sweetness from cinnamon sugar dusted on the doughnut-like pastry. Good food coffee and bakery really brings back good memories of my eastern europe trip 3 years back and the chimney cake that I ordered from the shop was much tastier than the ones I had in my trip. It was dusted with cinnamon sugar and pistachio. In the middle of the hollow pastry, delicious dark chocolate softserve.
Coconut based non diary ice cream that taste so good you would not believe its a health conscious dessert. We ordered the banana walnut that contains a delish caramelised nut crunch and the raspberry mango coconut sorbet. Both are absolutely delightful. We also got the salted chocolate as takeaway, which was also amazing.
Fans of the coconut sugar, this is one cafe for you to visit! It was a glorious pandan gula melaka experience: the gelato was handcrafted from the beloved ingredients and matched flawlessly with a freshly baked waffle that has the fluff and crisp.
Blue butterfly pea flower lemongrass tea was an in-thing previously, known for its nutritiously and attractive blue hue. Carrara has creatively replicated the butterfly blue pea flower and lemongrass flavours into a gelato that is pretty and quite delicious. We also ordered the earl grey flavour, together in a single cup. Would hope to try their mains in our next visit to the cafe.
I never have been a fan of tiramisu because I don't really like coffee in my desserts. I was quite amazed by the variety of tiramisu flavours at the tiramisu hero and one non-coffee selection in particular caught my eye- the kaya tiramisu. Served in a pretty jar and packed with the pandan coconut concoction and savioardi, it was delicious! We ordered their matcha coconut ice cream that was dense and sweet, not bad. Tiramisu anti fans should really try their desserts out.
We got waffles to go along with our dark chocolate and strawberry gelato, as well as a honey milk tea. The gelato were rich in goodness, milky and the half melted creaminess goes so well with the crisp of the freshly made waffles. I prefer the chocolate over the strawberry for the reduced sweetness and luxurious cocoa.
Have always loved the sweet treats at sunday folks and this is one cafe that I frequently visited over the years. Since we were in the holland village vicinity, we decided to patronise it for the xth time. Ordered our softserves in a glass. Pictured is their signature and one of my all time favourites- the sea salt gula melaka.
One of the most gorgeous entremets that I have ever seen. Shaped and coloured like a rose, Cynthia's exterior is a layer white chocolate covering the genoise sponge, raspberry compote, rose chantilly creme and lychee. A delightful dessert that has a luxurious variety of texture and flavours: rose and raspberry gives the entremet a floral fruity profile in a mixture cream, sponge and jam.
