I finally got to have a taste of the recommended and totally instaworthy Berry Muffcakes. I felt it was more of a muffin top served up like a pancake - texturally it was dense like pound cake, served with cubes of ice cream, berries and flowers. Not something I would order for breakfast (which is what my friend did) but quite nice for dessert!

Stumbled upon @shopwonderland while exploring Haji Lane. This shop was perfumed with dried flowers everywhere and so prettily decorated.

The Honeycomb Blueberry Cake brought a new flavour to my tastebuds away from the more common flavours we find at usual cake places. Cake was moist and the blueberry bits gave this piece a very nice texture. The honeycomb topping gave the cruch that took the cake to a whole new level!

On a hot day strolling down Haji Lane, the Lychee Grape Mint Fizz was definitely welcomed! Not too sweet yet refreshing with mint and the fruitiness from grape halves!

Overall a very nicely decorated hole in the wall with free wifi and powerpoint!

Wasn't really my intention to drop by for cakes but the spot I am supposed to visit hadn't opened way past the opening hour; just thought it would be good to pop by to grab a little something along with a cold brew. Old Hen's cakes are supplied, but the loaf cakes are simple stuff that although aren't the best, are pretty comforting. A little too crumbly, but I liked how they warm the cakes up before serving and it perfumes of coconut fragrance within while glazed with a sugar icing spiked with lime for a zesty tinge of flavour.

Glancing through their lunch menu, we were tempted to try the Poached eggs ($22). Organic runny egg with thick creamy slices of avocado, sweet pomegranate and portobello mushroom, it is served with rustic bread. Have to say this was way better than that *cough JB cafe with measly thin avocado and tasteless poached eggs. However, a few friends thought it was good, so maybe I should give it a second chance?

I finally succumbed to all the beautiful photos of the glasshouse cafe and visited the cafe.

For once - I went against my protocol of only visiting cafes that are xxxx year/s old and have xxxxx good reviews.

This time it was a little different because I came for the aesthetics ( something I rarely do ). The photos I have seen were simply alluding.

The flat white was not outstanding - the coffee had a tinge of sour . I still prefer the flat white at cafe beviamo because of its nutty and robust flavour.

Having said that - 4 dollars wasn't very much to pay for a quiet moment alone in a beautiful glasshouse .

There are slices of apple within thin, crisp, fragrant pastry served warm, topped with cold vanilla ice cream before drizzling with raspberry balsamic sauce. Not bad. Enjoy your weekend!

Combining two classic Japanese flavours together, this fluffy matcha sponge, completed with Matcha buttercream, black sesame frosting, and black sesame white chocolate ganache is from Montana’s newest dessert range - Freak Cakes (of 5 distinct and exciting flavours).

Expecting a denser, sugar-filled, over-the-top treat, their Matcha Black Sesame Freak Cake was surprisingly soft and balanced. Not just pretty to look at, the cake was not overly sweet or cloy. The ganache and goma drips also lent a nutty fragrance while the buttercream had a pleasant bitterness to complement the assortment of toppings.

Pushing the crazed ‘Freakshakes’ aside as the Freak Cakes take center stage, each creation goes for $14.80++. Hence, produced at limited quantities daily, it is recommended to pre-order to avoid disappointment~

A Serene evening savouring Signature Durian Cake and Moon Represent my Heart Tea from CreatureS after an eventful day

Bursting at every bite with rich tea aromas infused beautifully into luscious smooth custard, 1872 Clipper Tea Co.'s tea puffs comes in 5 distinctive flavours- Milk Tea, Eternal Garden (Rose), Matcha, Earl Grey and Vanilla.

Having the set of 4 ($12), it was difficult to pick a favourite as each were nicely balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and tea flavour. Lightly chewy and airy, the Matcha and Rose layered pastry puffs were real delightful with strong nuances of tea and floral notes respectively; whereas I found the Earl Grey and Milk Tea to be more subtle in taste. The coloured choux shells also had a slight flaky crust which paired really well with the chilled fillings. Perfect for tea time and a tea-riffic choux puff fix. Oozesome!

The cafe concept is quite special ,we order their nitro black coffee ,iced latte and earl grey cheese cake ..nothing attract me to coming back here again .

The salted egg yolk craze is still on & this glorious rich yellow cake is definitely one for the fans! An interesting combination of salted egg & black sesame that surprisingly goes well. Don't be afraid by that seemingly thick yellow glaze! It's not as salty & heavy as it looks. The salted egg yolk crumble on the top help add on a good crunch! 🍳💛💛
