A Bruneian Eating Her Way Through Singapore
Everywhere I go I try to get my hands on some kind of Fried Chicken and what makes me even happier is when its Korean ๐, and delicious at that! UberEats brought me this meal from Jinjja Chicken which consisted of: 12 Pieces Mixed (all flavour) wings, jjajangmyeon + cutlet, and a serving of seafood dumpling for $30. The chicken deserves four stars ๐๐๐๐ - it was well seasoned, "Kronchi-kronchi" (crunchy), and jinjja (really/hella) good.
An Ottoman Brunch worth waiting for. Made of baked eggs smothered in a rich tomato and bell pepper based sauce, topped off with sauteed mushrooms, onions, and generous dalops of whipped cream cheese. It reminds me of a Turkish dish called "Iskender" I frequently had back in Melbourne, minus the layer of meat, so I ordered a side of smoked salmon to fix that ๐ - the kind of brunch to power you through any day!
Perfectly extracted coldbrew turned frothy. Decided on their mac and cheese (it has brie in it- my fave!) to go with because cake is too ordinary ๐ Wish I had more time here to try an actual cuppa.
The nasi ambeng lived up to expectations, and more! It was the perfect combination of malay dishes - pedas (spicy), manis (sweet), lemak (rich) and masin (salty) - on one plate. Portion was huge too. Definetely bringing the rest of the family over next time.
