Oyster cake and the first thing that comes into my mind is oyster and flour. But boy was I proven wrong when I sank my teeth into this glorious snack(although I'm actually pretty full after having just 1). Fresh greens, juicy oysters and succulent meat at $2/$3 for more oyster; totally encouraging you to get the latter! š This oyster cake is so crispy and it just goes well with the texture of the fillings inside. There is something addictive about this that keeps you wanting more! Mum and dad approves š
They've been around for a long time as The claypot rice of SG, and have maintained their standard since.
The umami of the "chao ta" rice against the claypot and the fragrance when all the chicken, salted fish and sausage mixed with the dark soy sauce were just all too good for words. #burpple
One of the family's regular haunts. This time, this was where we had our final lunch together before the family flew off to Australia while I stayed in Singapore. Ah time really does fly by so quickly.
The soup is flavourful and eggy, just how I enjoy it. The wings juicy and crispy, and the omelette fresh and rich. Tofu is soft, accompanied with small amounts of vegs and prawns.
Not your regular fried chicken or roast steak kind of comfort food, but for me who has been frequenting this place since I was a young girl of 10 or so, this does bring a timeless sense of comfort and familiarity.
