This is the shrooms burger. And. It. Is. Awesome. It is packed with a punch with their well-marinated beef patty, sautéed mushroom pieces and melted Swiss cheese! The buns are a bit too thick and huge but it's tasty nonetheless. 👍🏻 Fatboys' burgers never fail! $10 only!

With its success of the shroom burger, one can't go wrong with The Alpha. I mean double patties stuffed into a brioche bun for $15.90? No complaints from me!

This is one of the most well-kept secrets by our editor, until now. It's mainly seafood and oysters at Greenwood Fish Market and Bistro, but they offer a seriously great burger — the Angus Burger ($21.95). This masterpiece contains a really, really juicy, freshly minced Angus beef patty that fares best when done medium, portobello mushroom, a thick slice of sweet tomato and tangy gherkin. Despite all the wonderful flavours and textures, the beef really shines. The setting here is perfect for a date, but only come when you and your beau are truly comfortable with each other — you'll want to get your hands and face dirty for this burger. For a better balanced meal, order their foolproof Fish and Chips ($19.95) alongside the burger and share! A glass of wine or cold beer goes splendidly with this meal.

This joint in Cluny Court helmed by local celebrity chef Willin Low has long been known for its tasty gourmet burgers, and we are happy to report that standards are still high! We love the high ceilings and natural light too, it's just the right setting for a laid-back weekend meal. The Wild Rocket Beef Burger ($19.20) may look dry but it wasn't at all — the patty was juicy and cooked to spot-on doneness (we asked for medium rare). Combined with rocket leaves, sun-dried tomato relish and Sarawak pepper cream, this burger is basic, but delicious. Cheese lovers may want to try the Blue Cheese & William Pear Beef Burger ($21.90) — this Burpple community favourite sees a blue cheese-infused beef patty, walnut-peanut butter, poached pear and rocket. Every burger comes with a choice of a side salad or thick cut fries (top up $3 to add truffle or change to onion rings, $4 for Spam fries).

Located right by the entrance of Dempsey Hill, this gourmet butchery cum bistro is the perfect brunch location for the whole family. On a weekend, expect to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Thankfully, you can seek respite while browsing gourmet items in the air-conditioned butchery next door while the kids run amok at the playground. Surrounded by lush greenery, your brunch experience will be laid back and well worth the wait. Order the Huber's Beef Burger with Bacon and Gruyere ($15.50) — made with 170g of Australian ground beef (served medium well, but you can let the staff know if you prefer otherwise). With a lethal combo of two nicely charred buns that are pillowy soft but never soggy, melted gruyere cheese, crispy strips of bacon, this is one satisfying burger that will keep you coming back time and time again. Also order the Spicy Italian Sausage ($13.80) to share, it's probably the best hot dog around.

Part ice cream bar, part cafe, this Udders outlet at Siglap has revamped to become Udders and Kook, and they have added burgers and brunch grub into their menu. Gather a troop of burger-loving friends and have a go at all seven burger offerings here. The crowd favourite is the Mario Mushroom Burger ($15.90) — an elevated version of Burger King's Mushroom Swiss. The creation sees mushrooms, rocket leaves, Swiss cheese, truffle mayo and an unbelievably juicy grilled beef patty cradled between two brioche buns. Each burger comes with a choice of fries or Japanese edamame beans. Pro tip: Enjoy a free scoop of ice cream with every main course purchased, valid till 31st July!

Brewerkz's gigantic burger King Brew ($34) is, to quote Burpple Tastemaker Kenneth Lee, for "the mother of all cheat days". Picture this: Two huge New Zealand Black Angus beef patties (each 220g), melted cheese (go for the cheddar), sauteed mushrooms, a whole lot of bacon and a hefty scoop of beer chilli, all sandwiched between two freshly baked brioche buns, plus a side of fries or onion rings. Definitely a party in the mouth. To call it over the top is a bit of an understatement, so spare yourself the food coma by sharing this with at least one friend.

Arguably one of the best burgers in town, Omakase is known for burgers that people can't get enough of. Seared and seasoned well, the beef patties are topped with a slice of good ol' American cheese, tomato, lettuce, Omakase's secret sauce, and sandwiched betweeen two super soft, pillowy buns. Of all the different fries, go for the Cheese Fries - easily the best of the lot. While the burgers taste fantastic, the soft bun gets soggy. Another gripe is the price, which is pretty steep for its size. But hey, that means you get to eat 2 burgers?

First time having duck heart! Duck Hearts w Peri Peri ($10) love the tender, chewy texture and tasted like mini duck chunks, couldn't taste the spice (too much aioli?) but smokiness/unami flavour masked my fear for offals so well #asia50best
