Every bite of rice was so fragrant and the chicken, served cold, was tender and juicy and went satisfyingly with the piercing, savoury special chilli sauce. Top it off with a basket of freshly fried fish skins and you have a wonderful meal on your hands ☺️
✳️ Did you know achaar is a kind of South Indian pickle? The minerals found in pickles include iron, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, and sodium. as well as a whole host of vitamins that include vitamin C, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B-6, folate, vitamin B-12, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin D! 😲

• 食方锅 opened in Kulaijaya just this year, so the place is very well-renovated! The buffet spread, going for RM35 per pax, apart from the usual bean and soy products and vegetables, comes with free flow drinks, ice cream, finger food such as samosa and even herbal eggs and watermelon slices as well!

Kale is one of the world’s best sources of vitamin K, with a single raw cup containing almost 7 times the recommended daily amount 😱😳 Because of the low calorie and high water content, Kale has a low energy density as well! Best of all, it tastes so crisp and good, like seaweed but upgraded 😍
• ✳️ Tip: Always use olive oil for frying, even if it's for scrambled eggs! Your heart will thank you for that dose of healthy fat 😉

The delightful pieces of white chicken, served cold, was undeniably fresh and juicy and was paired delectably with the lip-smacking aromatic ginger sauce, embedded in a bed of fresh crunchy lettuce! • ✳️ Healthy Chinese food at its best, ginger is your best bet for making food taste scrumptious while being a healthy herb! Modern scientific research has revealed that ginger possesses numerous therapeutic properties including antioxidant effects, an ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds, and direct anti-inflammatory effects 😍
• ✳️ Go lean by picking out the skin! There's already enough flavor from the lovely chicken meat and spicy ginger sauce! 🤗

So crunchy even the fins can be gobbled up 😊 also served in steamed ☺️

Every bite reveals an explosive egg pudding paired with a delicate buttery cookie-like flaky crust that's neither too thick or thin 😋 It's served so hot that we had to pause mid-devour! 😍
• They also serve coconut tarts and durian cheese tarts for the more adventurous! • Now with the Holland V branch, you can dine in and enjoy from a range of Cantonese tea shop delights like buttered Bolo bun or condensed milk French toast! Traditional goodness at its best.
• ✳️ 1 egg tart is 150🆑 so we advise you to spread the love and share the desserts with your friends, though we warn that one bite might not be enough 😳 So don't waste your 🆑 on yucky, cold soggy desserts- queue to make every single bite worth it 👍

Variety, value and vivacious taste all in one. They say teenagers can't appreciate hawker food nowadays... what a shame, because it's one of my fave foodie hangouts! Please share your go-to outlet in the comments below! #goodfoodmustshare • ✳️: Greens, greens, greens- stir fried in the home cooked way that your tongue fondly recalls from childhood memories! And there's a huge variety, with each serving at only $1! My favourites are the bittergourd stir fried with egg and the spinach stir fried with garlic- simple but classic 👍
• ✳️: Teochew porridge serves protein up in the healthiest form imaginable for Hawker food- steamed fish, with leeks and scallions! 😍 And of course, braised duck- with cucumbers and corianders, sans skin of course.
• ✳️ No Teochew porridge can be without this amazing heibihiam (shrimp paste)! These tiny morsels sure pack a fiery punch while bursting in juicy shrimp flavour! And of course, the traditional Chai Po omelette that's generously served in layers for more oomph per bite!
• Heng Long Teochew Porridge has another branch in Upper Serangoon, but for the Easties, this is where good Teochew porridge is at! Don't say #bojio 🤔

Well, this fresh beef slice soup packs a great punch at $3.50.
• The broth is piping hot and simmered with onions to give a pleasantly rich taste that's not too strong on the palate, but flavourful enough to keep on sipping! The slices of beef are also cut generously, in lean cuts and that's a lot of protein for $3.50 😌 There's even carrots and radishes inside!
• ✳️ Tip: Beef provides nutrients like zinc, iron, protein and B vitamins, and half of the fat found in beef is monounsaturated, the same heart-healthy fats found in olive oil! 😱 This beef slice soup is only a tantalising 156🆑 ☺️
• ✳️ Opt for beef slices instead of beef balls, which are more processed and have more fat and salt in them! • This stall is located in Blk 84 Marine Parade Central #01-184, Singapore 💥

But it's tough to find quality cuts of fish outside without emptying your wallet...
• This gem in Takashimaya food basement sells grilled fish sets from $8.90 WITHOUT service charge, what a CATCH! 🐠
• Definitely one of my favourite hangouts, I thought twice about sharing this place since the queue is already SO LONG! • And it's not hard to see why... every set comes with a yummy cabbage salad, miso soup and fluffy Japanese rice! 😍 With no added service charge and free flow of green tea, this place is definitely a must-go! It's a cosy place tucked away at the side, so don't miss it!
• They also offer sashimi and sushi which you can buy at from the counter 👍

iSteamboat is doing porridge buffet well 👍
• This simple but heartwarmingly satisfying buffet spread boasted of braised pork belly a la kong ba pau style, curry chicken, salted egg and Ma Po tofu! Local favourites like carrot cake and char kway teow were present too and to top it off, there's free flow cold drinks like ice lemon tea and homemade barley and nourishing green bean soup as well! 😍
• ✳️ Tip: Did you know green bean soup, also known as mung bean soup, is a hot favourite in TCM for its detoxifying abilities? But it has also shown to be just as formidable in Western medicine values as it has chock full of vitamins and is rich in fiber! 😉
