The taste curry surely didn’t disappoint in this case, the fried chicken was coated with thick layer of curry seasoning powder.

Despite being really yummy for the a few pieces, we got a bit sick of it towards the end.. feeling like we ate too much Maggi mee seasoning, or simply too much MSG.

I would recommend this as a sharing dish, with other complementing dishes.

Jjimdak is simply chicken stew, we ordered the non-spicy base this time.

The chicken was first fried before placing into savoury soy gravy base with Korean chewy noodle, topokki (Korean rice cake) and beansprout. Despite being fried, the chicken pieces were really tender and juicy, went really well the the gravy.

BE WARNED, attempt the spicy base at your own risk.

As part of Chir Chir’s new menu, which was launched in end 2017, this Cheesy Dalgalbi is one of the highlights.

Generous pile of chicken tenders with fully loaded bed of mozzarella cheese, served on hot plate.

The mozzarella cheese melted right in front of our eyes while the hotplate was being heated up.

Been so crazy about their rice flour original fried chicken that we barely have chance to try any other dishes on the menu.
This time we went with a larger group and finally… something new!
Wouldn't say Army Stew is my to-go Korean dish as I always thought it’s overpriced. $40 for a bowl of instant ramen, sausages, luncheon meat, tofu and kimchi… hmmm…🤔
Nevertheless, it was a good try, the soup was very tasty (though I did get the after-effect of MSG overdose).

Our 3rd visit to Masizzim but first time to their new outlet at Westgate. Service was thumb up and food was good. Stews are highly recommended (despite it being oily, but thats what made them yummy). We had both spicy beef ribs (lvl 1) and soy pork ribs, with both rice bowls 'upgraded', one to the anchovies rice ball (much preferred, not just the fun of mixing your own rice ball, but the well balance of flavours) and the other to the kimchi fried rice. Leek & squid pancake was average, leaving a thick oil layer on the baking sheet. $78 for 3pax, reasonable.

The recommended Suyuk (pork belly) was unlike all the pork belly dishes i have ever tried. Good thing us its not oily at all! Taste was abit bland, so you got to dip it into the sauces and eat together with the crunchy cucumber sticks for a more refreshing bite! The army stew was standard with nothing much to shout out. We also order a bowl of rice wine to share. The side dishes were yummy too, with my favourite being the sesame lotus salad. Goodness it's good!!

Despite all that, the bill gave us a shock, summing up to $80+, which we thought was a bit overpriced.

I love Korean dishes, but rarely could I find a place with everything I love! That's why I am loving Masizzim so much. The cheesy kimchi pancake, the spicy beef ribs stew (lvl 1-4, we took the challenge of lvl 3, which is just right for me to enjoy the dish without burning my throat), and the self-rolled rice balls!! Omg everything was soooo shiok!! Being the sister branch of Chir Chir, i can't choose which do i love more. Bring more friends if you want to try everything like i did!
