Party of flavours and textures.

The crab cake has a crispy exterior though mushy within. Coat it with the runny egg yolk, complete with the soft muffin bun. Truffled sweet potato fries are served by the side. Satisfying, comforting brunch item.

Pretty place with delectable desserts served with dainty dinnerware - this is my first but definitely not last visit here!

🔸Suzette ($9.80)
🔸Yuzu raspberry cake ($9)
🔸Peach oolong tea from @antea.social. Not your usual mass produced tea bags, the handcrafted tea leaves here are bigger in size and best served in a pot.

Really affordable.

Rich, creamy foie gras served with brioche, mixed berry compote and granola. Umami max!

($12/50g single or $19/100g sharing, pictured)

Included in the 2016 Michelin Guide Singapore.

Located at Boat Quay along the Singapore River, price may be slightly on the pricey side, but I was really impressed with the food and seafood quality served.

Seafood's really fresh here, such as the prawns (swipe left for more photos). For people who may not prefer seafood, there are many options for cooked food such as the roasted chicken (pictured). Tender with a crispy skin, this makes an excellent choice for sharing.

This deconstructed black forest ($18) is an interesting take on the usual black forest.

Instead of having it as a slice together, this dish serves the different elements in such an aesthetically pleasing manner and allows one to slowly indulge in the different components.

The dedacant 70% dark chocolate mousse is rich and a total delight to chocolate lovers. Enjoy a spoonful of it then have the edible hazelnut soil and alcoholic cherry coulis to add just that little sweetness.

First thought that came to my mind when this was served - wedding banquet cold plate - which was a good thing because I get to taste different dishes in one awesome platter!

Two favourites here:
Mango croquettes which is both fruity and savoury, really appetizing. Dip these batter-fried goodness with the mayo sauce for more kick.
Fried baby squid which stays crispy throughout our meal. Highly addictive and good as a dish on its own!
The other two appetizers (smoked duck and papaya salad) may be a tad too heavy for people who have a light palate.

Interesting dessert.

Apom Berkuah Pancake, which I learnt is a traditional Nyonya dessert, is done light and fluffy with natural bluepea dye. The banana puree-like sauce that comes with the dish is thick and rich.

Served as ala-carte or part of their Peranakan Set Menu of Yesteryears ($200 per set, good for 4 pax, 8 courses).

Honey garlic miso chicken breast.

Very reasonably priced. At $13.90, huge slabs of chicken breast were served. Even though chicken breast is used, the meat is still overall tender. Love the honey garlic sauce as well.
