The broth was thick with crab flavour, spiced with ginger, crab roe, spring onion and butter. The crab was HUGE, fresh with bouncy meat and it had been a long time since I've enjoyed such good crab meat! Notable was the fragrant green chili that was fantastic with either the crab or the slippery thick bee hoon.
Was told that it's a special offer for this month, in this 11 month old Thai Chinese restaurant. (the usual price for this was $48, good and satisfying for 2 hungry souls)

Mini chocolate croissants + soya bean milk. Simply love the fluffy mini croissants filled with hinges of chocolate bits in them.

We initially wanted to try the soba noodles but they were out of stock. If I remember correctly, it cost $9.80 for the chicken and $14.80 for the beef. It is worth a try but I wouldn't go back again as the price isn't really worth it. The entire meal including Cheesy Pork Fries and a cup of tea cost about $40.

Finally gave this a try after hearing so much about it. I love how the waffles is done, crispy and fluffy. Had seasalt caramel and cheesecake ice cream with maple syrup. Quite a good combi, the cheesecake was light enough to complement the slightly stronger seasalt. Worth a try!

Best comfort food on top of my list - Claypot Mee Tai Mak ($5/$8/$10) that I would really just wanna hug a pot of this all for myself. So easy to make more trips for this, when we just stupidly realised this outlet at Joo Seng is so near my place and they have actually been here for 10 years!

Filled with collagen and all other health benefits, the turtle meat was actually like chicken lah, and the fat was AMAZING.

The yam rice was probably the best surprise of the night; SO FRAGRANT AND MOIST. Hidden at the side was the half boiled turtle egg which was sort of ok.

Before I get slammed for being unethical for eating turtle meat, this is actually a delicacy which has been around for many years. Defending myself from self righteous comments; unless you don't eat chicken and meat then you come say me ok? Hahahahaha thanks.

The Chinese spinach is first stir fried in high heat before being stewed in a supreme stock loaded with salted egg and century egg. Unlike the usual soupy broth that we know of, Putien's sauce is more thick and eggy which can coat onto the vegetables!

This was superbly done. The fish was moist and tender, seasoned to a T. Everything on the plate was well thought of and came together in a mosh pit of complex flavors, building upon each other.
Really loved the bonito butter, as I licked every last bit of it off the plate.
