The egg fried rice is fragrant, 粒粒分明 and not forgetting the tender and flavorful pork cutlet.

(S$6.50)

The sweetness of the kurobuta pork gives the broth the extra lift in flavor, complemented by the clams.

Crispy fried egg are added in all the Pao Fan. There isn’t any crispy rice puffs found in my broth, as seen in the photo. As for the broth, it’s light and yet tasty. It comes with a few pieces of sliced fish and fried fish.

(S$6)

Tucked away in an unassuming coffee shop at Golden Sultan Plaza, a stall that serves unami seafood beehoon. Their chewy beehoon which is imported from M’sia remains nice and springy even after a long time. The broth is very robust and I can really taste the XO Hennessy. It’s accompanied by a prawn, LaLa clams, cutterfish and caixin veggies.

(S$8.90)

• Big Prawn Noodles, Dry ($5)
I decided to try on the dry version and was given an additional big bowl of soup. The noodles is topped with crispy pork lard and fried shallots. I would recommend to request for more chili in the dry noodles as it really adds much more flavors.

• Pork Rib Prawn Noodles, Soup ($5)
The pork ribs is tender within expectation. The soup is very luscious. It spots a bright orange hue and the soup is full of umami.

Crispy mid-wings. Quite pricey as the size of the mid-wing is small.

There’s “mud” smell for the grilled fish, most probably because it’s frozen. Tomato based pasta, served with coleslaw and bun.

The pork was well braised and it’s tender enough to melts in your mouth. The sauce is not too oily and sweet, but there’s a particular spice (which I suspect is tangerine) used in marinating. They ran out of the usual black fungus and replaced it with the choice of braised mushrooms or peanuts. Wanted to add-on preserved veggies but they ran out of that too, so I add-on the tau pok instead which I wouldn’t order it next time, tastes pretty average and not worth it.

(S$3.50, add-on Tau Pok additional of $0.50)

The kway teow is tossed in their black sauce, accompanied with soup that consists of 2 pork balls, 2 small slices of pig liver and some minced meat (S$3.50).

M’sia style wanton mee - al dental egg noddles with black sauce. The char siew was sweet and fragrant with slightly charred at the side. Wanton fillings was decent too. (S$3.80)

Chicken slices with a few small pieces of taupok and long beans found in this much watery curry but is quite fragrant (S$4).
