This was instead light and fluffy. Served with confit onion, garlic aioli and olive oil caviar, it was very tasty too 😋. The thin slice of toast on which the omelette sits on added nice crunch to the bite.

So happy to have found a new place to satisfy my craving for comfort rice bowls.

I chose the option of making your own bowl (MYOB). Salad base with 1 carb, 2 proteins and 5 toppings for 15.90. I had mine with yuzu shoyu salmon and negitoro (additional $1) on top of sushi rice with yuzu wasabi dressing. Super satisfied with my selection - very fresh and tasty.

Intimidated by the choices? You can also select standard rice bowls such as bara chiraishi, negitoro hero, luna tuna, umami unagi, pork dorky and beefy business for less than $10 for the small bowl and less than $17 for the regular bowl. Don't you just love the choice of names?

As you can see, it serves similar rice bowls to some of the favourites out there like Aloha Poke, Teppei Syokudo and Tanuki Raw. How does it stack up? Let's just say that I will be back 😊.

I don't normally eat so late at night but the coin prata was just too tempting.

No regrets as the prata was super crispy and tasty. The 'yumminess' was elevated further when the prata was soaked in mutton curry 😍.

With pork and chicken. Instead of queueing up for Tendon Kohaku (the queue was just way too long), we decided to try its sister restaurant, Katsudon Hanakatsu, instead.

We ordered the non spicy version for the kids and spicy for adults. While the spicy version may look unassuming, it was really really spicy. Way too spicy for me!

The pork and chicken katsu were thin, crispy and yummy. It was not served with egg like the katsudon we are typically used to in Singapore.

It was served on Nanatsuboshi rice from Niseko. The rice may not be as well known as the Koshihikari rice from Niigata but it was still very delicious.

The tonjiru, miso soup with pork and vegetables, is a must-order. It was so tasty we finished it before our katsudon arrived. We then had no soup to soothe our burning throats (from the very spicy katsudon).

Thin sliced sirloin steak pan fried in Tanuki's yakiniku sauce, tomato, fresh greens, umami gruyere and truffle mayo stacked in a mini buttermilk rye brioche. My son totally loved these mini burgers!

We were so thrilled when we saw this dish. All of us love bitter gourd so we were very keen to try it out.

Bitter gourd, when cooked well, tastes heavenly and this was definitely one of the best I've had. It wasn't too bitter and the salty egg yolk gave it a nice contrast. A must-order!
