This small plate packs a punch. The spiciness of the hae bee hiam gives the spaghetti oomph. It’s very tasty and so some might consider it a tad bit salty. But I suppose you can have this served bland. The 2 huge prawns are fresh and very shiok to bite into. Overall, the portion is small enough for you to share with someone. $11.90
Not your usual chawanmushi served at IZA. With half a quail’s egg and a slice of mushroom on top, salted egg and century egg added inside the chawanmushi, you get a nice surprise when you dig into the bottom of the cup. $4.50
An interesting twist offered by this fusion izakaya restaurant in Siglap. The Otah Tamago is nicely cooked and the Otah has a nice lunch of spiciness to the dish. $6.90
Priced at $9, this tin of spam fries is breaded before it’s deep fried. It’s served with a mix of mayo and barbecue sauce. Quite an interesting mix.
The name of this dish doesn’t need much explaining. Other than slices of spam and breaded spam fries, there are also cubes of spam in the pancake. Nice blend of flavours too. You might want to consider Sharon this as it’s quite filling. $16
This full breakfast is really wholesome. It’s got so many things that you’ll definitely be full by the time you’re done with the dish. At $18, this is definitely very worth it.
This mountain of a chirashi don is probably the cheapest you can find in Singapore. I was greedy and chose the more expensive version and ended up not being able to finish the rice. So I'd recommend taking the $12.90 bowl and leaving the place craving for more.
Queues form but nice fast, as long as people clear off once they're done eating. So do go early in case you get hungry while queueing.

The roast pork here is crackling and it's got a good mix of fat and meat. When you bite into it, the tender meat and the crispy skin is complemented by the layer of fat in between. A good mix, I'd say. The char siew has a layer of honey (because it's HK-style) also isn't too lean and hence it's also quite lovely.
The cost of this combination for 3 pax costs $33. Not that cheap but I suppose it's okay for the occasional indulgence.
A lovely combo of shredded duck confit sitting on a bed of crispy rosti (potatoes). Priced at $19.50, there's no tax or service charge here. The bread at the side was soft & fluffy and the combination of everything on this plate was a delight.
