The Salted Egg Cheese ($11.90, front) didn't really have any salted egg flavour at all but the New Yorker ($8.90, back) fared much better and was value-for-money with its abundant and tasty pepperoni slices. Also, the pizza slices here are more on the thin side, although that kind of complements the slightly crispy texture of the crust

The banana tasted quite different...but in a good way. I realised that it had none of that artificial sweetness that you would usually find in a banana-flavoured ice cream, milkshake, or the like. I later read up and discovered that dopa dopa apparently doesn't
The Green Tea Toasted Rice was also a delightful concoction. The best part about it was its nutty flavour that you wouldn't usually find in other matcha or hojicha-flavoured gelatos
Also fun fact: they keep their gelatos in pozzettis (metallic containers) which is the traditional Italian way of storing gelato and ice cream. Again, something you wouldn't see (much) in other gelato shops here in SG

Not the atas lava toasts kind but the inexpensive, simple ones like the condensed milk toast ($1.30) i had (not pictured). Great for people like me who prefer to have something to eat while sipping bubble tea

This one apparently has a strong fanbase in Japan for its famous yuzu ramen. Now based on what I've tried at their newly-opened outlet at Funan Mall, I'm not going to swear that their Yuzu Shoyu Ramen ($15.90++) will make you a yuzu-lover convert. But instead, I will swear by its quality. The yuzu taste was both clear and consistent in every spoonful of the shoyu broth. And for those who hate ramen broths that are too 'heavy', you'd be glad to know that this bowl of ramen (which is already supposed to be heavier in taste than their shio version) is light on the palate. In fact, I didn't even feel the need to order a milk tea or some other cold drink after the meal which i usually do after every ramen I have because the broth here isn't jelat at all! Legit the first time ever in my history of eating ramen that I didn't need to do so lol
Also, I am an absolute fan of their noodles! Although i like my ramen noodles al dente, and Afuri's noodles are relatively softer than what most other ramen chains, they had a nice bite (or lack of, rather). As for the chashu, it was quite tender but just one slice at the price they offered is a bit disappointing
Overall, I think this is a good alternative to the many Tonkotsu-based broth ramens you can find in singapore, although I'm sure most like me will still prefer the tonkotsu-based broth ramen. Will be back to try their Yuzu Tsukemen though

So apart from the usual white udon, there's the green udon which is made with Uji Matcha from Kyoto and red udon which is made with korean chilli powder. If you eat the green udon alone, you won't really taste any matcha. If you eat the red udon alone, you'll get a rather spicy feeling in your mouth. And if you eat any of the udon along with the chilled dashi sauce, all three types of udon will taste like plain udon because the sauce will wash the taste of chilli or whatever little matcha there is. Oh well, it's an interesting addition to an instagram feed i guess. And Udon Kamon's other offerings are better la, the portion sizes are huge and the udon is good

Wouldn't say it's the best la...wok hei taste wasn't really there and the noodles weren't exactly as chewy as I wanted them to be. Also there doesn't seem to be much difference between the regular and large portions ($4.50 and $6 respectively) yep

The pearls were soft and chewy and the brown sugar was felt within most pearls, something that quite a few other stores out there fail to ensure. And there were even bits of caramelised brown sugar that added extra depth to the drink with their crunchiness and caramelised flavour

Lots and lots and lots of absolutely tender sous-vide beef...dayum. Apparently the sauce used is supposed to be truffle sauce but I couldn't really tell it was truffle but anyway...this is so bang for your buck esp with the sous vide egg included too
