They have nice marinated meat, scallop, cheese tofu, liver etc all at affordable price. Hate how other mookata places make it so expensive. When it's just another steamboat

From Hey Sugar, a new ice-cream parlour that had recently opened at Keat Hong Mirage just situated opposite Keat Hong LRT Station. Hey Sugar serves up a decent selection of ice-creams displayed in the display freezer, while offering patrons an option of either waffle, brownie or lava cake to go with their ice-cream apart from the usual cup or cone option. Beverage options include hot tea, coffee, frappe, smoothie and iced brewed shaken tea.

Went for the set menu where I could get a Single Waffle with a single scoop of ice-cream with their any Iced Brewed Shaken Tea at $9.90. I opted for the Rock Melon ice-cream after trying a couple of other flavours β€” smooth ice-cream that resembles the fruit pretty well (yes, it does somewhat carry the odd aftertaste that rock melons are known to carry), being adequately sweet. Despite how it looks, the waffles were actually quite decent surprisingly (it's not out of this world, but I wouldn't have expected such quality)β€” crisp and fluffy within and wafts of buttermilk fragrance within. If anything, I would probably hope that they do get to improve on the presentation over time β€” the place is decked out in a dainty pastel pink and rather well decorated; the presentation of the waffle could have looked better to suit the image of the cafe.

(PS: another flavour i liked amongst their range when I was trying the different flavours available was the Lychee Rose Sorbet; very light, slightly floral yet refreshing)

Rich and creamy with a slight sour berry centre, on top of a crunchy crispy base.
Interesting place decorated in nautical theme. There’s also a fish tank by the entrance filled with colorful fish 🐠. Best made a reservation as the place packed up quickly.

An interesting name for their desserts, the Honey B (S$12.50) is basically a set of buttermilk waffles that comes in a set of other ingredients such as honey, sliced butter, biscuit crunch, caramelised bananas and sea salt caramel ice cream.

The waffles were served after some cooling, which give them a little crispy feel. I ate them by spreading a little butter on the waffle, followed by smearing some of the sticky ice cream on top of it, then sprinkle the biscuit crunch over it. The taste of this dessert blended quite well, given a balance of sweet and savoury notes, and the ice cream did not melt completely thanks to the effort of cooling the waffles before served.

If you want to skip the caramelised bananas, which are not exactly the most perfectly done portion, you get to save S$1.50. But who knows, maybe the chef's skill will improve over time?

While the base pastry was largely competent, the same cannot be said for the lethargic, unapologetically flaccid crepe-like meringue and tired preserved mango chunks. 3.2/5

When I ordered this, I wondered if this would taste more like a chocolate or cheese cake. But when I tasted it, I actually tasted both! Neither flavours were trying to outshine the other, both fused well and this really hits the spot when you are craving for both types of cakes but can only have one. Decadent but not overwhelming, I can't wait to be back to try more of their other cakes!

Love this so much that I had it twice this week! It's nicer if you let it "thaw" for awhile after it's served. Love the fact that the chocolate and caramel didn't overpower each other. The balance between the 2 is perfect! A yummy treat!

This tart ($6.80) was rather fragrant and tasted quite yummy too. I had also liked the texture of both the crust and the filling of the tart. The entertainer app deals can be used here so it was quite a good deal for us!

Very tasty especially Ice cream above the toast. And there were butter flavored toast inside❀︎ Price is S$14.80. I don't know average price for this kind of toast, but I think it's worth to pay this amount.

yummy! πŸ‘πŸ˜ charcoal magma toast with horlick and earl grey lavender ice cream.

Weekend brunch goals set in the lush greenery of Rochester Park. My picks are the Crab Benedict, Three-Stack Pancakes, and a cup of well-brewed flat white!

Made an impromptu visit for some casual, homey Italian grub. Food was served very quickly and generally pretty good!

We ordered:
- Porchetta (love it, crackling was crispy and the pork was tender with just enough fat)
- Fresh burrata with parma ham, tomatoes and arugula (love it, the burrata was so creamy)
- Stuffed Roman Schiaccata (love the truffle creamy goodness)
- Assorted pizza (ok but I would pass this next time)
- Mixed Ragout (beef and lamb) with homemade gnocchi (very saucy, loads of chunky tender meat, love it)
- Pistachio tiramisu (love this!)

Will I return?
Yes.

The price point is definitely friendly on the wallet. Great place to take the family or gather with a group of friends so that you can order more dishes to share.

Total bill of the above including 2 coffees:
$150 (we ordered small servings)
