Dessert Overall
Mango Sago with Pomelo ζ¨ζηι² ($4.50)
Cooling down with a bowl of this. The standard seem to have dropped a lot. While refreshing, the taste was rather watered down.
My partner had Gingko, barley, and bean curd skin soup ($3) in cold version, which she remarked that it smelt a bit off and had rather hard gingko nuts.
Maybe business too good these days. One even had to queue during Sunday afternoon.

I've always ordered the mango sago plain but the heatwave in Singapore lately made me make insane decisions. And by insane, I mean insanely good. This time, I had it with a scoop of ice cream which made a world of difference. It added another level of intense mango flavour and creaminess to the dish. The pomelo didn't do much to the dish, and I recommend just spending the money to order to get that scoop of ice cream instead.

It is then topped off with a soft serve milk ice cream and two peppero sticks. It also comes with a cup full of chocolate sauce for you to drizzle anywhere you like. π
The price tag of SGD 15 is a bit overpriced for me. Maybe adding more ice cream will justify the tag. βΉ

Mentaiko sauce is too rich, but the combination of the sweetness of the gula melaka ice cream neutralises the creaminess of the sauce, both on the inside and outside (topping). The fishiness of bonito flakes gives an interesting twist to the taste.
Epiphyte is a garden themed cafe situated along Neil Road that serves Western dishes with a touch of local taste. The food can taste a little weird but the desserts such as Twilight and Terrarium are well-worth a visit. Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg Do note that this cafe only opens at 4pm!
Finally tried @HelloKittyCafeSingapore in @ChangiAirport
Not as crowded as I thought it would be, although it was dinner period. For the 2 of us, we got a table almost immediately since those in front of us were in groups of 4 and above.
If you want Hello Kitty picture on your drink, then order Latte ($5.90++). It also came with a piece of Hello Kitty cookie.
Also tried Strawberry Marshmallow Tea ($7.80++), Kitty Goes Banana Split ($18.50++), Hola Nachos ($15.90++). The last dish tasted the best among all.

When I ordered this, I wondered if this would taste more like a chocolate or cheese cake. But when I tasted it, I actually tasted both! Neither flavours were trying to outshine the other, both fused well and this really hits the spot when you are craving for both types of cakes but can only have one. Decadent but not overwhelming, I can't wait to be back to try more of their other cakes!
This is brioche toast with salted egg lava inside. ($12.8) I'm not a sweet tooth person, but I can definitely finish this myself. ππ»
I thought galaxy cakes were figments of my imagination, but oh was I so so wrong! Presenting you the Chocolate Guanaja - a cylindrical cake which has Valrhona Guanaja dark chocolate slotted into the recipe. It is then blanketed with a dreamy galaxy glaze. Spellbinding is the best word to describe its beauty. I'm honestly overwhelmed! π (7/10)
