Their penang fried kuay teow and stir fried laksa both at $9.80++ are really good, but this XO seafood fried rice $12.80++ won us over. The dish is packed with generous ingredients and a subtle charring aroma. I like the way the rice is piled up in a pyramid shape. The serving is good for 2 persons.
I personally will not order mock dishes in vegetarian restaurant. However being a recommended dish, here it is - The Spicy Grilled Codfish@ $18.8++ is a nicely cooked mock dish, served piping chilliest hot on a hotplate and left my mouth blowing hot. Perhaps it's not a dish for someone who doesn't eat spicy food but it's still missing some oomph for us who love spicy food.
We have been the commonwealth D'life bistro many times and are happy to find one outlet in the west. This sweet and sour mushrooms dish ($10) is a must order on our every visit. You wouldn't miss meat here..
