Part of their $45 3 course set lunch, these cones were a wonderful starter. I especially loved how delightfully sweet the crisp cones were and it complemented the tuna tartare nicely. Addictive!
1 for 1 lunch set thanks to #burpplebeyond. This tori gobo truffle don was super good! It came with a very generous serving of chicken and lightly seasoned with truffle soya sauce. Don’t forget to mix it together with that onsen egg!
Deconstructed okonomiyaki in the form of a beef burger. It is something new to have okonomiyaki sauce instead of the usual suspects and it was a good change!
You can’t go wrong with this classic. The cream was not overpoweringly ‘gelat’ and I also liked the addition of the mushrooms!
I can see why this is one of their popular items! The pizza tasted just like laksa and I liked their local touch by including clams, quail eggs and fish cakes! It’s not surprising that we polished off this dish real quickly!
Part of their lunch set, we were served their house ice cream blend which was peppermint ice cream with peanut toppings. Aren’t the bowls so cute and old school?!
We ordered all the 3 rice bowls that was in their lunch set which comes with a drink and dessert- Fatty Porky, Chong Qing Mala Chicken and Ma Po Tofu. The mala chicken had a really addictive mala coating and the fatty porky was really soft and easy to tear apart! The bowls also came with a generous portion of rice.
We also got crispy squid ($9) which came with a flavourful Sichuan BBQ dip. Liked that the batter was crisp!
A good starter to whip up the appetite. Also addictive with that cilantro calamansi mayonnaise dip!
Pasta tossed with miso butter, you should definitely get this if you love mushrooms. There was something about the tomatoes too - very sweet and fresh!
The fresh roasted black grouper came in a creamy mussel vichyssoise sauce along with picked shimeiji mushrooms. It’s best to mix the sauce together with the garam masala to reach its full potential. Indeed a different but still flavourful dish!
You can see that nori cream tagliatelle and enoki peeking out underneath that beautifully crisp seabass. This is the one to get if you are looking for something slightly heavier!
This was one of my favourite dishes. That Cantonese styled broth was reminiscent of the home cooked fish dishes that I was accustomed to. I couldn’t help slurping up the broth (which is something I don’t do at home). The fish was also delightfully soft and tender.
The addition of the clams and the addictive chewy sweet potato noodles also gave this a really good modern twist. I’ll definitely head back for this!
