Chose the lamb rump for my main course and even though the meat looks raw due to its pinkish colour, it didn't taste anything like that when eaten. The meat was tender and easy to eat as it is boneless. The dish is complete with a bed of mashed potato, roasted cauliflower, long beans, sweet potato and garlic pieces. The garlic can be a bit salty and pungent when eaten alone, it's best to eat it with the meat. Set lunch menu changes occasionally so you may not see the same item on the menu the next time you are here.
Was lucky that today's queue was not very long when I arrived at the stall today! Rice was very fragrant and the chicken drumstick was smooth and tender. The taste of the chicken was rather bland to me though and the chilli sauce was too spicy compared to other chicken rice chilli sauce. You can ask for a bowl of soup to go with your plate of chicken rice but be careful the Aunty may give a black face :/
The combination of the pan seared Chilean seabass in pepper with the truffle butter yuzu sauce was awesome! The seabass remained juicy inside and the texture of it is similar to cod fish. Sauce was buttery with a light hint of citrus and truffle. Best eaten while it's hot! 😋👍🏻
Bowl consists of prawn, chicken, mushroom, squid, sweet potato, French beans and corn tempura. Ingredients were fried on the spot so it's still crispy when served. There's a spicy version available too but I heard the spiciness only comes from the sauce that is drizzled on the rice. Felt a lil uncomfortable from eating so much fried food but the food was yummy. Good to eat once in a while :)
