I ordered aglio olio for $10 and topped up with mushroom for $2. Asked for extra garlic too. Very garlicky, with cherry tomatoes that I didn’t request for. Not very oily. Delicious.
To be honest, I was shocked to receive this plate of salmon cos nothing was mentioned abt shellfish being involved. I wanted salmon pasta initially and they said I could order salmon and add on Aglio olio. I’m not a fan of shellfish and they are wasted on me no matter how fresh they are. Salmon was pretty good thou, with crispy skin and juicy meat. From Hook stall. A new stall that just moved into Essen.
Very delicious this one. I wanted pasta with my salmon and had to add on cos they didn’t offer salmon pasta. The Aglio olio was seasoned just right and very fragrant from the garlic and olive oil. Tiny bits of meat that I thot maybe was ham made this dish more flavorful. From Hook stall.
One of the best cream mushroom pastas I’ve eaten. Look at the abundance of mushrooms on the pasta! Not thinly cut, got a good bite to them. Really worth the money. Lots of garlic made the cream sauce ultra delicious.
Asked for everything to be fully cooked. Really liked the cream sauce. Slightly sour with the lemon juice. Egg was fully cooked yet with creamy yolk, not the sandy cooked-till-u-die type. Didn’t like the alfalfa sprouts at all. Definitely will come back for this.
Kopi Siu Siu Dai was great. Not sweet and the Kopi taste was strong but not bitter. Toast was crispy, with lots of butter inside. Amt of kaya just right, so not too sweet. Nice fresh eggs.
Got this as a takeaway, and the pasta was still hot and al dente. Well seasoned too. Quite a lot of garlic, which really elevated the taste. Prawns were plump and juicy. Not very oily. Really not bad.
Chose this cos it had pork meatballs on it. More flavorful than just plain mushroom pizza. Liked the crispy chewy crust. The liao was quite generous. But there was a herby taste that didn’t quite agree with me. Still, I was glad I tried this.
This was the new one I received. It was perfect. Hubby thot the previous one was “ok, quite nice.” But this blew him away. Creamy cheese slathered generously onto chewy crispy bread, with bits of mushrooms to make you go “Hmmmmm...”
They didn’t charge me extra.
It looked different than before so I opened it up to see. What used to be literally dripping with creamy cheese was now so dry that I couldn’t even see much whiteness. Only saw the black mushrooms. I took one pc. It was bland. I tried several bites. I mainly tasted only bread. I was so upset I sent it back to the kitchen, which is extremely rare for me. Must be bcos I already tolerated the abysmal pork chop. I told the waitress to charge me extra if she wanted, but I couldn’t eat this. She got me a new one.
It was smaller than I thot but the quality more than made up for quantity. The fat meat ratio was perfect and it was melt in the mouth tender. Skin was cracklingly good. Not the hard stone type that will make you go for implants. But the crispy crunchy type that crumbled beautifully in your mouth. Loved it.
This was definitely not how I like my pork chops. It was dry and tough. Taste was bland. I didn’t like the beans either. Gave it to hubby after 2 bites cos “I ordered it for him.”
