Despite the name, it was fried noodles. Felt like a character in an American sit-com as I ate this, even the box looked similar to the Chinese takeout in those tv shows. This was really good, thou slightly too oily. The seasoning was quite addictive but I felt a little thirsty after eating this.

Box looked small but packed with lots of fried rice. Rice was well fried, not clumpy or too oily. Prawns were good too. I liked this.

There were no bones in this dish, which I liked. But the meat was a bit tough. Sauce was salty enough but lacking in salted egg taste. Maybe bcos there was not a lot of sauce.

The gravy was good with rice. Bubbling hot and well seasoned. I liked the egg at the bottom of the hot plate.

Extremely average. Tasted like very ordinary ngoh Hiang. Wouldn’t order this again.

This dish was a bit bland for my taste. Lots of eggs, and they were generous with the sotong for just $6. Got 2 big prawns, fresh and sweet. Not deveined thou. Not bad, but I wouldn’t come back for this. I saw Mee goreng at another table. Piqued my interest, will come back for that.

I ordered my regular fried beef horfun, but discovered they gave me the wrong one when I opened it. Nevertheless, this was really yummy. Great wok hei. The sotong was on the rubbery side but it was fresh and plentiful. Prawns were bouncy. Got slices of fish cake and pork. Quite a lot of liao inside actually. I enjoyed every bite.

This was fragrant with the smell of sambal and got good wok hei. Not too spicy or too oily. Well seasoned. Just wished there were more eggs inside.

This dish only had mid joint section, which was the part of the wing that I love so I already love it before it arrived. The prawn paste seasoning was just right. Not too salty or pungent. Skin was crispy yet succulent. The sambal sauce for this was fabulous. Different from the one I got for the fried rice, which was also yummy. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish.

Never had olive fried rice before and the lady taking my order said it was their signature. Indeed it was worthy to be a signature dish. Very well seasoned. Well fried without being oily. There were crispy rice puffs and ikan bilis if I remember correctly. Also got Chinese lap cheong. I got some sambal sauce and mixed it in. Hmmmmm....! 😋

I was really looking forward to this but it was a let down. The pork pcs were not crispy and the sauce was more sweet than sour. Also missing the vinegary zing that I love. This was the only dish that had left overs.

Must order heh cho when dining at zi char place. This was excellent. The prawns used were chopped big enough for me to chew on. Other places usually minced them to death and I couldn’t even see any prawns inside. Not the ones here. I could see as well as taste the QQ prawns. They only had 2 sizes. Small and large. Definitely a must-try for heh cho fans.
