Tender & boneless chicken rice. Was asked to choose between drumstick or chicken breast. The portion of the chicken given is satisfying. However, whether it worths $27 is another question.
Had mee siam and lime juice for lunch. Comes with three jumbo prawn, the mee siam is not too sour and I quite enjoy it!
Heard their bak ku teh is the malaysian version with herbal taste. Was a bit disappointed - despite the colour which is pretty dark, you cannot really taste much of the herbal taste and it smells pretty peppery. Feel like its a mix of both. The paste prawn chicken wing is really juicy and crispy here.
Had bak chor mee and the crispy bun set. The crispy bun is very airy and soft while the kaya and butter are melting inside. The bak chor mee is so-so - a bit too oily for my liking. Not as flavourful as it looks.
Very rich in flavour, more towards the spicy side rather than the coconut milk part. I first found it too spicy for myself, but enjoy it more towards the end. Waited for over 30mins for it but worth a try.
Very tender and can taste the soya sauce in the meat but not only the skin. Long queue during lunch time so be prepared to wait for 20mins!
Had matcha coconut toast and macadamia latte. The latte is very nutty. I would prefer the sesame toast which the flavor is stronger.
Had singapore style ramen (small) for brunch. The ramen goes well with the spicy sauce provided, and the char siew is very tender! Though a bit pricey and long queue in the hawker center but definitely worth the wait.
The french toast is a bit dry but not overly sweet even with the kaya toast. Better have it when it is hot. The kopi c is normal.
Had takeaway for this dry charsiew wanton noodle. Even I had it after an hour, the charsiew is still very tender. There is enough sauce in the dry noodle which is just right. The wanton is pretty good too. It is a bowl of dry noodle which I would surely wanna have it again, probably at the stall next time!
Had the chicken cutlet set. The chicken cutlet is not too oily and pretty crispy. I enjoyed the sambal chilli that comes with the rice which add a lot of flavour to the rice. The only thing that can be improved is the egg - it is a bit overdone.
Had founder bak kut teh ($9.8), braised egg ($1.5), you tiao ($2.5), tau pok ($2) and prawn paste chicken wing (6 pieces, $6.8). Both the long ribs and short ribs are very tender, while the short ribs got more fat. The soup is very peppery which is good for rainy days. Side dishes are so-so except the prawn paste chicken wings, which are pretty crispy yet the meat is still tender and juicy.
