Refreshing acai bowl, with the addition of passion fruit which was really uncommon among acai bowl chains 😊

This is the pre-stirred unagi Don, after which it felt like unagi fried rice. I would have preferred to have kept the unagi chunks instead of having it meshed. Though, I must say nothing can go wrong with clay pot crisp rice (with unagi!) -~$17.90

Conveniently housed in the basement of Raffles Place MRT, grab a colleague and make your way to this no-frills space for a morning java. Burppler Yu Shan recommends the smooth and mellow Cafe Latte ($4.20) or the roasty House Brew ($3.20). Not in the mood for coffee? Go for the sweet and milky Matcha Latte ($4.80), or request for less sugar if you prefer a bittersweet finish.

This new establishment along Amoy Street opened by the Loco group brings you fast casual Mexican food that’s similar to their sister establishment, Super Loco.

The star is definitely their chicken. The birds are organically fed, antibiotics & hormone free and free range. Each bird is brined for 10 hours, in a secret blend that’s got a splash of agave nectar, then basted with herbs and spices like dried oregano, mustard powder, and achiote, and cooked over flames for an hour. What you get, is wonderfully tender and flavorful meat! Pair it with any of their sauces (extra charges apply for each sauce). Their habenero & mango sauce is recommended and gives a nice citrusy lift. Order their street corn too!

Located at 22 Cross Street, #01-63 Singapore 048421. A cosy Chinese-style cafe a stone’s throw away from Chinatown MRT! They specialised in Teas, wide range of classic Taiwanese selection of Teas from hot to cold (perfect for our hot weather!) Apart from their Tea specialty, they serve some mains too! We tried their Signature Taiwanese Minced Rice ($8.50 for Regular, $15.50 for Large) with an addition of Black Tea Egg ($2.30)! A savoury bowl of juicy Minced Pork pouring over the fluffy rice! We enjoyed it as it’s more light and not so heavily taste as those Taiwan Lu Rou Fan.. Also they uses healthier Minced Pork rather than the usual fatty pork belly! Gravy is quite shiok too!! Perfect for pairing with the Black Tea Egg!! Yumms! Teochew porridge in prawn broth. It won’t be the same without the spring onions and fried egg 🤤
For the portion, the price is a bit steep. $9 for the porridge above.

Been wanting to try this for awhile, especially hearing how the noodles are made fresh and with more egg so its more springy, and the story of the lady boss. The sauce was less salty than i expected, considering how dark it is. Good stuff :-)

Tried their braised meat and black fungus noodles for $5. Unique combination!

Italian x Japanese food at Lecoq. What we had are yum albeit the small portion. Another worthy place to check out with burpple beyond!

Love the tranquility of the cozy place with alfresco seating only.

Love the bed of japanese short-grain rice that complements the silken tofu and mixed peppercorn gravy, the chewiness that create a slight contrast to the creamy tofu. Ahhh, this definitely warrants another visit. 🌶🔥🍚🍜

Slurpilicious Miso Mushroom Noodles by the newly opened Dumpling Darlings! 🍄 Noodles are perfectly al dente, making it a delight to slurp them up along with the flavoursome braised mushrooms. More at bit.ly/chueondumplingdarlings

Usual suspects of meatballs, minced/ lean meat, mushrooms, crispy Ikan bilis & pork lard, this bakchormee stood out with the use of springy meesua without being too soggy; evenly coated with vinegar and chilli (which wasn't spicy!). Quite a bit of a wait during lunchtime and we were so hungry we ordered roti prata from the next stall. I will probably go for the larger $5 portion the next time I'm here!
