Steak was a medium-rare, just how I like it. I would say that the main star would be the steak itself. Salad was unfortunately “old” as the leaves were losing its crunch. It was a little warm inside so having an iced drink really helps.
And I quote from their menu “..citrus butter cake concocted with lavender butter.” There is a great balance between the two flavours, neither overpowering each other. With every bite comes the slight crunch of almonds, a light citrusy ‘zing’, and the scent of lavender that comes through ever so gently. The cake is served slightly warm which further boosts the flavours.
Good ol’ clear Tom Yum Soup from Nakhon Kitchen. I’m a strong advocate of clear Tom Yum Soup as I’m not really a big fan of the milky ones. The clear ones are spicy, tangy, full of flavour and the addition of coconut milk actually dampens it.
Chose the single waffle with a roasted pistachio ice-cream ($10). Waffles were quite crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Ice-cream was not too heavy on the palate, but the pistachio flavour could have been more pronounced.
Tomato base, black truffle paste, mozzarella, Parmesan, asparagus, and an egg in the centre of the pizza. One would expect the truffle paste to be overpowering but fortunately it is not!
