Light fluffy cake with pulut hitam (black glutinous rice) filling and topped with a layer of coconut cream. The coconut milk really goes together with the pulut hitam. Salty sweet and savoury 🙂. Sadly, the roasted pulut hitam on the cake was hard and dry.. It would have been nice if it was crunchy.

And again, I'm not too fond of traditional cakes.. Or coconut lol

This is their most famous cake full of gula melaka sweetness. Slightly too sweet for me, an interesting layered sponge cake with a slightly gelatinous outer coating of gula melaka syrup.

Cake is really rich, and buttery however it also felt slightly dry and sandy(?). Although, I did like the modern take to this recipe with the glazed roasted apples.

Tofu rest on a bed of various vegetables such as carrots, sweet peas and black fungus and topped with some minced meat. I loved the sizzling eggs on the hot plate and the moment this dish is served - you can defintely smell the super shiok aroma!

Thick fluffy omelette that goes really well with the sweet potato porridge because of the chye poh (salty preserved raddish).

There aren't any pictures for this dish on the menu so I was pleasantly surprised when this dish came with a serving of mushroom, black fungus and carrots.

This is a lemony foamy dessert-like drink. There's the citrus flavour, with a hint of vanilla. It was pretty cool, no idea how they make the drink froth up without egg whites (vegan restaurant) to create that silky, foamy texture.

The burger comes with a large fried onion ring, portobello mushroom and a layer of tomato puree. I loved the bun most - it had a crispy outside, yet soft and chewy inside. The meal also comes with a side of crinkle cut fries and salad. Didn't really enjoy the fries and found them quite dry.

Overall, it was simple, and ok. Wouldn't go recommending it 😅.

Crispy skin with melt-in-your-mouth textures but you definitely pay a premium for the vegan version. I definitely wouldn't mind bringing my vegetarian friends here! But for myself, maybe not.. 😅

Finally satisfied my craving for salted egg yolk chicken today! There is a glorious amount of salted egg yolk sauce with the chicken and the extra egg is 🍳❤. The salted egg yolk sauce is delicious and addictive. The chicken was tender, juicy and coated with a light fluffy batter that gives it some crispyness 🐔. Everything was great! (Oh and I opted out for chilies - don't take spicy)

You can also get fried rice instead of plain rice 🍚.
*
On the other note, the price is abit steep ($8), however, the portion is huge - I could definitely share this with a friend and the both of us would be full!

Note: Try not to park by the roadside here, the parking aunties do frequent this area. While having lunch we saw two different parking wardens handing out tickets.. 😂
