They are the tummy filling ones. Single servings are generally enough for one person. Must be chosen with care and precision such that they hit the correct taste buds.

After covering Sungei Buloh, we were super hungry and I had been here before, so we reached “Bollywood Veggies”.

I love the place, specially bcoz they treat you with the fresh produce from the farm. And the farm, it’s so peaceful to just hang around and watch nature unfold in front of your eyes.

As for the food, after being seated we ordered for the Nasi Lemak set and fresh aloe vera juice. The best item of the platter is the chicken, they are crispy perfection and the others are just average ($S12)

A very healthy Indian dish comprising of Yellow mung lentils, organic GMO-free local rice, fresh curry leaf, steamed greens, plant-based raita, tomatoes and fresh herbs. To say it’s one of the healthiest dish I have had in Singapore. But on the contrary I am spiciness freak and as such found it to be a little on the blunt side. Other than that the preparation and presentation was spot on ($ 13).

We were wondering where to go for lunch and someone suggested for Monster Curry. So we reached and then ordered for their lunch sets which came with a soup, drink and Ice Cream. It was super value for money at just S$14. I got the fried fish curry which came in a oversized plate. Taste wise, the fish was done really well and the curry was good too. However, I was disappointed with one thing, u can choose the level of spiciness for the Curry which initially made me happy (coz i love spicy) and chose the highest. However they don’t actually play with the spiciness level of the curry, its only the sauce which is spicy (the love designs made on the TOP of the curry, see pic), an easy way out. Other than that, everything else was good.

One of the very best confit I have had yet. The chicken was perfectly cooked, it was juicy, succulent and very flavourful. And the mashed potatoes added to the taste. Enjoyed every bite of it. It was part of the set menu (S$ 40)

Lunch at “TCC Connoisseur Concerto”, where I ordered for “Scallop and Baby Crayfish Baked Rice”. I am regular here and they are famous for their coffee creations I would say, love most of them. Do visit for a taste of them, they keep introducing new and unique ones. Now for the order placed, it’s not the best baked rice I have had, but it was not bad either. The seafood elements added to the distinctive taste. However, they have far better options on the menu, specially their pastas/spaghetti are damn good, have included one in the picture “Spicy Seafood Squid Ink Spaghetti”. Plus the menu is vast, a lot to choose from, so definitely you would find something you like. (S$23)

One of the very best Poke outlets (talking about other brands here) around in Singapore. The taste is always consistent and I can always rely on them for a satisfactory meal (lunch/dinner). Now for the 🥘, you have three options to choose from Light/Regular/Large, depending on your tummy allowance 😛. Next we choose the base from Sushi Rice/Brown Rice/Quinoa / Lettuce. The next step, choosing from the rainbow toppings (quite innovative), they have 7 toppings which are all inclusive of the price but if you want to exclude as per your dietary choices (upto you). Then comes the Main Stuff, Salmon/Tuna/Chicken/Vegan. These four have their subcategories and you can choose two from it (spoilt for choices). Then finally the garnish, three included but many to choose from with additional TOP up of 1/2 SGD. The resulting mess is just too good and I can have time again and again. I am and will always be up for a Poké Bowl. (10SGD)

They are said to be serving undoubtedly one of the best Laksa in Singapore. As I entered the place super excited, there was a certain aroma lingering around and without wasting further time quickly ordered the classic laksa bowl. Super fast service as I was immediately served with the bowl of Laksa within a few minutes of ordering. As I sipped on the first portion, the aromatic coconut based creamy soup gave me wings 😁. The gravy is the epitome of balance in taste and the texture comes from the perfect blending of the ingredients such as coconut milk, chili, dried shrimps, and herbs. However the noodles felt too soft on the mouth (my opinion) and could have been more thicker. Overall it was satisfying and would love to visit sometime soon (5.5 SGD)

For me Toast Box relates something to comfort food. If I can’t understand where to go and what to eat, I can always rely on Toast Box. This time I ordered the newly introduced some months ago, the Drumstick Braised Pork Rice, featuring a comforting bowl of braised pork and rice, paired with a crispy chicken drumstick. The Pork rice was good but somehow the drumstick lacked tenderness. The coffee here, I would say never disappoints was inclusive in the set. I always have loved and will continue loving the food here.

A simple dish comprising of baby carrots, potatoes, pomegranate and red wine. The star of the dish, the duck was really well cooked and juicy and jelled nicely with the wine.

A perfect medium-rare charcoal-grilled wagyu beef, topped with an onsen egg and shredded leeks over rice. It is also seasoned with a hint of truffle oil for the addition of that amazing aroma. Every single bite sends you to heaven. I closed my eyes to savour every single ounce of flavour of that marvelous wagyu beef. It was literally seasoned and grilled to perfection. It was just too good.

I love pepper and if you love pepper, should definitely try out this place. The beef is perfectly cooked to my satisfaction and the curry just adds to the flavour (provided separately, I like it topped over the beef). The pepper rice blends just right in with the curry. If u don’t know what you want for dinner, it’s the best dish to go with and fill your tummy with.

I had always wanted to have a meal here and finally got the time to do so. And oh totally worth it. The food is simple and yet delicious. I was not so hungry as such went for the 2 Deli Set which consists of 1 Hot Deli and 1 Cold Deli with the following 3 choices: 1. 16 Grain Rice/ White Rice/ Bread, 2. Miso Soup/ Cumin Carrot Soup, 3. Onsen Egg/ Hijiki. For the hot deli I choose Baked Salmon Vichyssoise cooked perfectly and for cold deli Baked Salmon Vichyssoise which was so so. However the star of the set was the cumin carrot soup. Have to try out the other options soon.
