Dessert Bucket List
Tasted this cheesecake bingsu [$15] at Korean dessert Bingsu Shop! A three floor eatery being designed very woody and Chic! The bingsu was topped with biscuit bits, cheesecake cube (Not softcake kind, a little harder but i love the texture and moist) and ice cream on top! Ice are shaved into tiny white bits. Taste indeed refreshing and sweet! Love it
3 flavours for $5.90
I donβt really like mochi but the ones filled with ice cream tastes surprisingly good.
Chosen flavours are lychee, melon and Korean banana milk.
Was looking for something refreshing to drink after our heavy desserts and this worked well! Went with Nuomi Hong based on the recommendation for their Pure Tea Series (plus its 20% off on Wednesdays, that means $2! - they have different teas on discount everyday). Never had this tea before but I liked its subtle rice fragrance and that the tea itself wasnβt too strong nor diluted. It didnβt come with too much ice as well, which is a another yay, because that means more tea!
This is definitely one of the better gelatos I've tried in Singapore. Most of the flavours I've sampled taste amazing, but I settled with black sesame (a new flavour) and chocolate in the end. And my friends, the black sesame is EXTREMELY fragrant omg this easily wins many of the ones I've tried in Japanese cafes. The chocolate flavour is really impressive as well - although said to be milk chocolate, it actually tasted dark and had no hints of milk at all. While they were rich and creamy, they were not as sticky as another brand I've tried before. The cone, although crispy, was more on the airy side and I wished it could have a stronger butter aroma.
Some hits and misses, but the flavour of the gelato itself is really well-executed here. A double scoop with cone costs $6.40, pretty worth the money given how much gelato was given to me (I think the seller is just being generous because there were no other customers around).

[Halal] For pretty ordinary-looking cupcakes, Julie's Bakes sure hit the right notes with the little details in their baked goods here. Regardless of flavour, the cupcakes were far from sickly-sweet and toned down to a mild honeyed profile β a testament to endless rounds of recipe-refining, Iβm sure.
Even when flavours like Ondeh-Ondeh and Butterscotch Crème Brulee make it very easy for them to stride too far in terms of sweetness, they manage to cleverly cut down on the sweetness. And as a result, they allow one who professes to walking the Earth without a sweet tooth to be able to delight in at least a bite, and hopefully enjoy with rapt.
The red velvet comes in top here. This crimson classic is given a twist in the form of a surprise Nutella ganache centre. Some of the perceived traits of a cloud β fluffy, soft, light, moist β is what you can expect of this flavour. Itβs also truly worth mentioning that the cupcakes were not tainted with the discomforting slippery texture of fat. Only they and Fluff Bakery have managed to nail this.
Despite that however, there is only one shortcoming β and that rests in how the flavours are indeed enjoyable in the humblest way, but also that they are too βsafeβ. Hence, taking risks and producing experimental flavours is the remedy. It will get them far, Iβm sure. But if they donβt, I will be absolutely fine with having another one of their Red Velvet cupcakes. (7.5/10)
An afternoon of indulgences!! That Chendol Cake from Julie Bakes was oh so sinfully good! A soft, fine cake layered with cream and mashed red beans, and drizzled in coconut milk and gula melaka!! πππ

My one and only favourite here. Unbelievably fluffy sponge paired with a pandan coconut custard that's not too sweet β this never disappoints (maybe when it's sold out).
Chendol ice cream worth going for. The real deal comes when you dig deep into the ice cream. It's not too overwhelming or sweet so it's just perfect for a warm day
