After all the Asian inspired jjamppong comes the Italian inspired ones!
The Ro Ppong-Roje which came in a deliciously pink sauce made with a rich cream sauce & tomato puree, topped with a lot of shredded mozzarella making it a definite umami bomb. I would advise one to attack this dish right from being served before it turns cold, otherwise the noodles and sauce will become too cloying and clumpy to enjoy.

Next up was the Tae Ppong which is a Thai take on the traditional jjamppong. Served stir fried instead of in a broth and chock full of seafood. The presence of flavourful 'wok hei' in this dish made it my other definite go-to!

Third dish was the Cha Ppong which is the traditional Korean jjampong. Available in level 1 or 2 spiciness, at which level 1 that we tried already provided quite a kick to my tastebuds!
This dish came with a generous portion of mussels, squid, prawn and a pair of quail eggs. Definitely good for cold rainy days as this will warm you right up!

Next item served was the Ninae Pizza-Spinach which was soooo gooood I could have finished it on my own. Baby spinach, cream cheese, sweet cherry tomatoes and honey all placed on a super thin tortilla crust. Plastic gloves were even provided so you could have each slice the Korean way by hand-rolling the pizza slice starting at the tip and eating it like a mini roll.

Recently attended my very first Burpple Eatup @ Nipong Naepong at JEM and thoroughly enjoyed myself!
Got to sample a few of the noodle dishes or “Ppong” which are a Chinese-Korean cuisine but in this case with an interesting Southeast Asian or Italian twist. The noodles used in all the dishes are house-made jjolmyeon (wheat noodles) and shipped direct from Korea, retaining its freshness and springy (QQ) quality, which is what makes or break a noodle dish, and what I love in my noodles!
We started off with the Vongole Ppong which is definitely one of my top choices. Springy noodles in a nice seafood broth spiked with white wine and garlic. The seafood ingredients such as clams, mussels and shrimp were generous in portion too!
