Came across this bubble tea place by chance and got the black tea latte ($3.20) with bittersweet matcha pearls. The chewiness of the pearls was perfect, and they were neither too sweet nor too bitter. The flavour of the pearls changes every day so do check this place out!
Stumbled upon this min chiang kueh stall at Yishun Park Hawker Centre and ordered the Green Tea Pancake with Peanut filling ($1.20). Unlike other min chiang kueh I’ve had, which tend to be thinner and crispier, this one had a thicker and softer texture, almost chewy. The peanut was just the right balance between crispy and creamy. Couldn’t really taste any green tea in the pancake skin though.
The other choices of fillings are Red Bean and Coconut, and Original or Charcoal pancake skin. They also have round pancakes with various fillings.
I recommend getting a few in one go because when I went back to buy more peanut pancakes, they had already sold out :(
There are tons of drink shops in Northpoint City (bubble teas, fruit teas etc) but I went for Fruiturday as the Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie ($6.90) caught my eye. It has a natural sweetness from the fresh mangoes (I double checked that there was no added sugar) and the interesting part of the drink was the bits of sticky rice!
I later read that this is a chain from Thailand and it just recently opened. A great option if you’re looking for a healthier alternative to bubble teas and other sweet drinks.

Sometimes the best food in a restaurant isn’t necessarily the most instagrammable dish :)
